Gen 5 first pass.

Figured I'd share my first run with the Whipple Gen 5. It's been a long wait so I've been excited to finally receive the blower and get a pass in. Car is full weight PP1 premium, 10R car. 4100lbs. Stock DS, stock converter, stock shocks, steeda stop the hop kit, 3.55 rear, full exhaust, 3.7 pulley (10-11psi) and pump gas. That's it. PBD tuned and seem a max of 16* timing. 81F temperature and 4100DA so terrible air. What's everyone's comparison? I believe a little better 60ft and better air and maybe a 10.2 and touch 140 on the basic, out of the box kit

21 vert, 4100 pounds performance pack, 10 speed Auto, 355 gear. Roush 2650 running Roush tune 93 pump gas. went 10.59 @ 132mph 1.65 sixty foot.

Nice!! I was with my friend in he's Roush 2650. 10R car, 4000+lbs, basically stock exhaust and he ran a 10.5 at 130 with consistent 1.58-1.59 60fts Very impressive.

138.5 at a bad da is rolling on pump! Are you hitting it with any octane booster? Any exhaust work done?

Thank you. Yes I have LTH and exhaust. I had 3/4 can of Octainum in a full tank of gas. I'm not tuned for it, just put it in to help and I was seeing a max of 16-16.5* timing in the logs

Yeah that is about as bad as our DA really gets. It was 2800DA a few days before and I ran a 6.4 60-130 and this pass was a 6.6 so a little bit there for sure.

Long tubes no cats and manually shifting in S mode because we are still tuning my auto shift points. Car is short shifting 6-7 and killing my MPH...lol

Yeah shifting in 7th early like that is killing your mph. Manually shift it and you'll see a good improvement. In auto I ran a 10.7 at 133. Manually shifting, I ran a 10.4 at 138...lol..not touching 7th at all.

I'll have to try that when I get back to the track I'll let you know how it works for me

Mine dropped .4 in the 60-130 raising shift points from 7250 to 7650.

It's tricky getting use to manually shifting...lol..just hit the paddle as you cross 7000k and you'll be good...ha...then in 6th just ride it out and you won't even touch 7th
