Car Show today, and Cars & Coffee yesterday. It's been a good weekend for me. By the way, that old ass 3-series BMW convertible in the pictures is my friend's pushrod 302 swapped car. It's so freakin' cool.

Wait,, What??? a Frankenstein BMW and no underhood pics. Surely you jest! Was it a kit or great engineering talent?

And MustangS550, ConqSoft, Redcruzer, and Osmosis great pics. Lots of nice scenery, especially the hilly ones. I need to slow down and start taking pics but I'm having too much fun riding around. Oh yeah and Wesley too!

Yowza!, That looks like it was done in the back yard. But it works and thats what counts.. Reminds me of a high school project of mine. I shoehorned an Oldsmobile 394 V8 into a '63 Impala. It was hoot to drive until one snowy day when a tree ran out in front of me.

it's an older picture, and the car is a definite work in progress, not a show car.

as he said "this is not the 325i I'll be restoring, but this is the first version."

he's only 22, so i'm giving him tons of credit here. When I was his age, I upgraded from a 305 to a punched out 350 (358ci) in my beater trans am, so I think this is along similar lines.

He gets my admiration for actually doing it. I don't care how it looks, he didn't take it to a shop and throw money at them. He had to solve the problems and make it work. That takes effort and determination. I'm old school and I believe if your hands never get dirty or cut you aren't trying hard enough.

yeah, exactly why I'm so amazingly wowed at his car.

I'm sure he likes my Mustang, but I plunked down 50k for a GTPP vert with every option, and then threw more money at it to mod it with readily available stuff.

He built his.
