Greetings, All!

I was wondering if some of you convertible owners could tell me if a shock tower brace come standard on your cars? Looks to me like it does if you have a GT, but not an EcoBoost. True or no?

Thanks in advance!!!!

The order guide is attached. I took only a quick look but I think you need to order the performance package for both the GT and EcoB to get a strut brace. Or another package like the CS. But that's quick look and I could be wrong. See the attached for more details.

As much as a convertable has body flex to start with i would be shocked if its not standard on a convertable.

I think it's a standard feature on a Convertible. Mine has one.

Standard on Mustang convertibles; built into the higher trim cost.

My 2017 EcoBoost convertible didn't have one. No performance package on that one.

My 2013 convertible however had one standard.

Both my '13 and '18 GT (non PP) convertibles had it.

Hello All

They were standard on the GT verts. My 2015 has one. The GT verts had the higher end trim package. It also had the K-brace underneath and the K-brace and firewall reinforcement on top.

These are good options to get if you have an ecoboost.

My Ecoboost only came with the K brace. I keep thinking about getting a strut tower brace but have not ye done so.

My E-boost had the steel K brace only, so I ordered a strut tower brace from the dealer. Unfortunately, neither of us noticed the various part numbers and when mine came in, it was silver, which was OK, but it has the "GT California Special" plaque on it. I put it on anyway, since nobody but the dealer will see it.

Huh. I never thought about different plaques being on the braces.
Originally when I asked the question, it was in an effort to know which G6 Mustang models had the brace when I go hunting junkyards (not that there's that many newer Mustangs in junkyards, let alone convertibles, but....) This adds a dimension to the brace hunt...
