Since I have no idea how to do a search with any relevant results on here I'll just ask the question...I'm sure for the millionth time. I have a 16 TrackPac and I'm fixing to change out my gearbox fluid and diff fluid and wanted to know what products everyone is favoring? Thanks in advance.

If anyone wanted to clue be in how to do a relevant search on this site let me know. :headbang:

For warranty purposes, motorcraft. Are you looking for specifics?

Well not necessarily looking for Ford products although I would probably end up using the Ford diff products. Just trying to see if people are using other trans products than Ford.

Yes, there are better products. They are not ford spec. Do what you want, but push comes to shove and you have a diff problem or a trans problem, they could deny warranty. Would they? Who knows.

I use the Motorcraft as well. My theory on fluids is they work - most important is to change them regularly. I don't think the benefit of boutique fluids is worth it, especially if you are going to extend service intervals.

Edit: exception is brake fluid.

Do your search using some of the following, they should return what you want to read about:
75w-85
75w-90
75w-140

IME, putting a synchromesh fluid in the trans will make it more "buttery" when hot and a 75-140 in the diff will keep 10 or so degrees cooler on track. I've run Royal Purple, Motorcraft and Amsoil so far. Happiest with Amsoil - best price to performance mix.

I used Redline oils in the transmission and diff on all my cars in the past 20 years, never had an issue. Some were tracked heavily, some not, never a problem. I noticed a significant improvement in cold shifting with the Redline as opposed to stock fluid in the gearbox.

Is this the one you liked the best?
https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-prod...omesh-transmission-fluid-5w-30/?code=MTFQT-EA

Wasn't sure if you meant the ATF fluid spec'd by the lookup guide:
https://www.amsoil.com/lookup/auto-...ang/5-2l-8-cyl-engine-code-z-99z-v/us-volume/

Note that I don't see any problem with running the syncromesh since the viscosity is higher, similar pour points/flash points, and it is recommended for other tremec manual boxes.
