Why bother? This car has been engineered to the nth degree by the qualified Ford engineers and tested to death, and here we have buyers ready to re engineer it.

Anyone that can't understand doing this mod, hasn't done it so how can you possibly comment? I just did it and it was the best improvement period! The car should've come this way. I've driven stick shifts since 18 and th S car made me look like a rookie till the spring swap.

I was on the fence about doing the swap. I figured I'll try it out for $10 and could always put it back if needed. I for one like the Steeda spring and the pedal comes fully back to its rest position.

I wouldn't just remove it in its entirety because I have read about 1/8" of pedal slop when some have done so.

Have to remember that Ford engineers have to work within a budget set by Ford leadership. The basis for the GT350 was a Mustang. They engineered what systems they could afford without reinventing the whole car. They don't necessarily put in the best components, but rather the best components that can fit within the overall budget. That's why we have the aftermarket market. So, yes; you will have people re engineer it. I wouldn't expect any less from the Mustang crowd. :cheers:

Yes it's super easy. It's above the clutch pedal and I did mine in my driveway

Installed mine yesterday. Took 10 seconds and no tools. I did put down a towel though to protect from the lithium grease.

The spring is one piece and replaces the 2 piece stock unit including the plastic divider. You don't need tools. Lay a towel under the clutch since the spring ends are lubricated with grease, in case the spring falls out when you replace it (mine popped out and would have got my carpet dirty with grease if I didn't have a towel layed out). Move your seat all the way back. I used an LED flashlight to light up under the dash. Press the clutch down with your left hand, then grab the spring with your right and wiggle it free from the perch. Take a look at it when you get a chance, you'll see what I'm talking about.
