So you install that on your car and leave it there? Come oil change time it's there to redirect the flow?
Correct. You replace your oil drain plug with this and then when it comes time to drain the oil, the tube allows you to do so without getting oil all over the splash shield.

Well that's a nice piece. Hopefully it holds up. Look at what the dealership left on my GT350 underbelly pan. I was pissed. It ended up dripping down onto the hood of my 500 that was under it on the lift. Please update how it works for you if and when you use it.

I definitely will. Once it gets nice out, I plan on doing my oil change and adding this on there.

I have both of those items and they help with the filter change and oil refill (they are awesome)...but do not solve the potential huge mess from the drain plug.
Shoving blue scott shop towels between the oil pan and belly pan did the trick. Wiped it with a tub o towel towel and it was good as new.

FWIW, I have been using a Fumoto rig for a couple three oil changes and with the orientation it has, it flows cleanly into the drain pan.

Wait...what? Fumoto has the drain vavle for our engine out? I don't see it on their website. I know they were testing one, but haven't seen a release yet.

I guess therein lies my confusion…that one you linked is a threaded drain plug replacement. We don’t have a threaded threaded hole. How does it install? Or is the pic wrong or something?

Ok. So just to be sure, I clicked on the link. Is this the part # and does it come with the adapter I circled? Or is that not needed? Just want to get it right the first time.

Before I say something and make a mistake, let me find the thread so I'm 100% sure.

That appears to be the correct model number.

I have the F107SX. My Ford technician installed it when I received my free oil change. He thanked me afterwards for the scald prevention for the future oil changes. I also bought the drain hose kit and Allen wrench for installation.

In addition to what KB said, there is no indentation on our oil pan to need the adapter. I mean, there is an indentation, but not what they're talking about. Although it looks like you figured that out already, but for future reference.
