I only recently discovered the bizarre method needed to check to automatic transmission fluid level. The need to check the fluid level with the car on a lift. Mine is a ‘23 with the HP. Why no normal method of checking the fluid level, using a proper dipstick under the engine bay?I’ve read many M1 were produced and shipped out of the factory with a low level of transmission fluid. I continue to read about the problems with this transmission. My car, delivered about 2 months ago, has only 200 kms on it. I’ve been in the UK, my extended family is there, while the car sits in a clean dry garage, at home, in Canada. I would have preferred the manual, but love everything about the car; especially the colour, EG. I bought with the maximum Extended Ford Warranty all inclusive plan, that extends into 2033 ( following the expiration of the standard warranty plan ). I have to admit, while I look forward to driving the car, the automatic transmission in it, makes me nervous. Many owners report no issues, a smaller but significant number report major concerns. Concerning enough for me, that a few times I’ve thought of selling the car. Before any bs encounters. I know how most dealerships are for major driveline repairs; my level of tolerance gets lower as I get older. Actually, my tolerance level is close to zero. But that’s just me. It’s the after effects of a 31 year police career. Cheers lads.
