You can use the sprayer or a dropper (some brands have an insert with a hole to use it as a dropper). If you use the sprayer, keep it close to the applicator and spray away from the car/wheel.

As for the tight areas, hopefully you have a flexible applicator. I don't like the blocks (either large or small) for wheels and much prefer the finger mitts as they can get into the tight curves around the spokes much easier. The first wipe isn't to remove the coating, it's to level it so don't use the first towel as if youre buffing off a wax, you just want to spread the coating around evenly. This will, of course, remove a lot of the coating but the second towel wipe is the one you want to buff the finish (so to speak).

Rgr that. Yeah I got big blocks with the kit. at some point this summer I plan on doing the car also. So I bought small blocks and some of the smaller circular ones I believe you might’ve recommended? figured that be easier to get into tight areas on the car and very helpful for the wheels where the spokes meet the face of the rim.

Ill tell ya, weather should be finally breaking after today, 2 days of snow showers and rain and im trying to be patient with myself and get this done this week with the coating on. I can't tell ya how tempting it is just to throw them on and drive it.

Which actually leads me to another question. going to use panel prep on the rims before coating, but should I also clean the face of the tires to help tape up the tires so no coating gets on them when I apply? Also not sure if i should wash the wheels first with the kochemie i bought or just hit them with panel prep and call it done.

If the wheels are brand new you shouldn’t need to wash them, the panel prep would be fine. No need to tape tires, just don’t rub the coating on them lol…not that it’ll hurt them but it’ll save your product.

As for application conditions, don’t install coatings when it’s cold. Follow the recommendations of the manufacturer. Temperature and humidity greatly affect the flash time of coatings. Cold temps will make it take longer or it may not flash correctly leading to leveling issues. It’s better to wait for good weather than to rush it. Of course all this is assuming you don’t have a conditioned garage. That being said, do not do coatings in direct sunlight either unless you’re well experienced with that brand.

So I finally finished the second coat Monday night before work. I feel like they came out pretty good. I will have to wait and see how i actually did once they get some wetness and such on them. Going to try to get them on today if I can get to bed here soon and have enough time before work tonight.

The ADS wheel is amazing. I did 2 coats on these wheels, and have washed them at least 15 times since, they shed water like any ceramic coated surface. Very nice coating...
