I know everyone says passenger side is the worst side for blow by. However, when i procharged my car i went the breather vented to atmosphere route. It is odd though. My passenger side breather is alot cleaner then my driverside one. Driverside one gets oily three times as quick. The car makes just under 700hp and does not get beat on. Thoughts?

Did you gut the PCV valve on the passenger side?

Interesting. I run a open breather on passenger side N/A. After about 3 oil changes I just throw a new one on there. $10 spectre.

The OEM system uses the drivers side port as a air "feed", and the passenger side as the "exhaust". Vacuum from the manifold sucks the pressure out of the passenger side, and the drivers side keeps the air flowing. When you add forced induction, both driver and passenger sides become pressurized due to boost pressure passing the piston rings. If you still have the PCV valve on the passenger side, it is now more restrictive than the drivers side which has no valve, so the majority of the pressure is being forced out of the drivers side port. Even if you gutted the PCV valve, that opening is smaller than the port on the drivers side.

Throw those open filters in the trash, and run a dual port vented catch can. The filters will eventually start misting your engine bay with oil once they become saturated. (ask me how I know..) They are fine for NA applications, but not boost. Cap the Manifold port, the intake tube port, and run both PCV ports to a vented can, and remove the PCV valve. Catches all the blow by, and keeps the engine bay clean. UPR sells the high flow PCV fittings that accepts the OEM style fittings and are metal.

I've been running breathers for 3+ years...no issues and super simple.
