Not really worried about smell as I’m on E85 and it stinks up my garage already but how much louder will it get with a cat delete? I really like the sound right now but would like the extra 10-15hp from the cat delete
Without resonator very loud!

Ok I’m out on this idea. My exhaust is loud enough as it is in track mode
That’s because of the small diameter/ short bottle resonators you’re using now. The packing isn’t thick enough and the length is to short to drop the dB’s
Ditch the X-pipe and try the mid resonators suggested.

Actually the resonators are pretty thick and dampen the sound quite well. It’s just about perfect. About as loud as my boss’s factory scatpack with valved exhaust.

I put them directly onto the back of the x-pipe. The factory mid resonator was way too quiet though it did give the car a nice tone.

I'm not suggesting using the OEM mid resonator.
The 12” is fine for your catted setup. I’m talking about no cat dB levels.

Gotcha. Yeah if I go catless I’d probably put a much larger suitcase resonator on. But I’m out on going catless for now.

Oh ?
Why, thought you wanted the extra HP ?
You guys convinced me I don’t want or need to redo my entire exhaust system for 10hp right now. Lol.
Probably going the weight reduction route instead with tire inflation kit removal and back seat delete kit.

just trying to pick up a little more acceleration which weight will help more anyways I bet

Yep probably down the line. Just spent like $2k on new rear gears so need to chill on car spending for a minute

Is there really a 5 to 10 hp gain from that? My dyno guys say that cat delete is usually a safety measure for F/I setups.

Just to add to this even though the OP has made his decision. I have Corsa long tubes and mid pipes, catless, with a magnaflow stock style resonator and side pipes. It is borderline obnoxious. Some people say they love it and some of my neighbors abhor it. If I am leaving early mornings to go golfing or something, I will start the car with the garage door down and let the cold start event be as muffled as I can and let the rpm's come down before I open up to leave. It also is a bit raspy at certain rpm's.

20hp NA gains. Verified at the strip.
Safety gains ? Ha hardly. Melt yer cats and see what happens.

But that was their point, that they only remove the cats so they don't melt and destroy the motor during a hard pass on aggressively tuned forced induction setups, not specifically for power gains. Sorry for the confusion.

I cut out my exhaust in my driveway then drove to the exhaust shop straight out the cats. I could feel every rumble in my asshole even at idle which was incredibly unpleasant. It was embarrassing to drive the two miles there.
