I've been gone a couple weeks and wasn't able to keep track of the thread. It was a member who made his own kit and another member bought and installed it. Was it deleted or am I missing the thread? I knew the member was going to give some feedback. Thanks in advance

I suspect he and the thread were deleted because he was advertising. It's unfortunate as it did contain some good information.

As long as you can get the MAF housing it would easy enough to make yourself. On that note, is there anywhere to buy that kind of MAF housing?

He got banned, I believe for advertising his product. I don't want to break any rules but also am getting tired of all the PM's.

The P51 CAI on a MY year 17 did nothing except lower IAT's. ( he did say it was developed for the MY 18 and I did have some fitting issues) I ran the same 12.6 with it and with the MY 18 stock CAI with a K&N filter. 112 MPH, 100% stock tune except for dialing in the fuel trims.

My staging lane IAT's were cooler with the P51, hood closed.

Driving on the street the P51 was 3 to 7 degrees over ambient temp. The stock air box runs 10 to 15 degrees over ambient.

So with some tuning I would be able to make the car run better with the P51 intake.

I will say he held his end on our agreement.

@K4fxd so basically no gain vs 18 stock airbox, but lower IAT.

But, I used an 17 MY car, so cannot comment on the 18 up cars.

He was hoping the 15 to 17 would get the same improvement.

So best I can say is the temps are lower. Worst is there was no change in performance.

Not doubting you , but this part I don't get ? How can the stock box be hotter ? Especially on a closed lid . Ahhh well one of life's little mysteries I guess haha.

Those cruising temps seem high all the way around. I never watched iats with the stock box but with the jlt I always ran 2-5° above ambient when cruising. Now idling while stopped was a different story...

These are in town stop and go temps, freeway temps are the same with either.
