Does anybody have the sheet the FP put out showing the recomended camber setting for track use? I though I remember seeing it in the supplemental but now I can’t find it.

Yes, that should have been in the supplement manual pkg.

BTW, those camber settings are conservative.

Interesting how the tire pressure recommendations are the same for tires that are different models and sizes...any consensus on tire pressures for the R PSC's for track use?

I find starting at 28psi cold is spot on then usually target 35psi hot which thus far has been pretty consistent.

cjgt350 no variation based on ambient temperatures?

When ambient temps are cold I start at 28 and adjust with 32-33 being the target hot pressure. I have had a bit of challenge getting Cup2s up to temp when ambient temps were in the 40s. When it’s in the 70s and 80s I tend to start at 26 cold.

As far as the targeted pressure, I have anecdotally found 32 hot provides the most consistent grip and best wear. honeybadger was at the track on Friday with a pyrometer and said his middle temp was high at 34. He dialed back to 32-33 and it was consistent temp across the entire tread.

No, just take those first two laps of the first session of the day with caution until you build some air pressure or heat. I have started at 29 and 30psi when it was cooler AT's but hot temps exceeded 35psi midway through the session and would fall off "grip wise". If I was auto-X then my approach might be different.

You are braver than I running these tires in that cold (40s)of ambient temps. 32 seems low to me for PSC2's with data I have seen from myself and others. Starting with 26psi cold has to be sketchy until the pressures build as 28 can be as well. I run with a couple R's and their findings are the same as mine with 35 being ideal. I will have to test with the pyrometer hitting a 32 hot target vs 35.

No DOUBT! I ran SC2's in OCT 17, temps in the 30's and rain, WTF! No wonder I went of the track so many times lol. But really, the SC2's do not like 50 or below temps.

Give it a shot. I have been all over the map experimenting with pressures. On hot days I start at 26 and dial back the pressure all day as things heat up, trying to maintain 32-33. Most days I start at 28. Up here in the PNW there is really no choice but to run with temps in the 40s during morning sessions. Usually within a few laps I’m up to at least 32 psi, although one day last year it took me two sessions to get there. The car felt numb until I got there.

I agree - I've had the same experience with MPSC2's at the track - get them to 32 PSI hot and they're great.

For anybody hat is curious, the 2018 owners pack includes a pamphlet for the track setup, it appears they took it out the owner supplemental that comes with the owners books and put it the owners pack with the crank trophy.

Unless it's REALLY cold (or slick), I also start at 26. 28 usually yields me temps 34-36 after a couple of laps if it's moderately warm. 26 is a good pressure - just don't go balls out for laps 1 & 2. One thing to keep in mind is your driving speed. Chris and I run in advanced and it'll change depending on your driving skill, track conditions, and tire choice. So 28 might work great for you or 25 might work better.

Last Friday I took a bunch of measurements at Thunderhill. Coming straight off the track at max tire temps (no cool down lap), we saw the middle of the tire ~7-8 degrees hotter than outside when running ~34 psi. Dropping down to 32 saw temps equalize after.

I was -2.4 front camber throughout the day. After an attack lap, I came in and we measured again. With tire pressure at 32, I measured 141 inside, 145 middle, and 156 outside on the passenger front (high stress tire at THill west). So it looks like we need moar camber when driving hard. Going to -3 up front next. One quick note: -2.4 was perfect for fast, but smooth focus of driving. It was only when I started to really push that I needed moar camber.
