Camber limit through OEM strut hole?

Does anyone know about how much camber one can dial in the front without wallowing out the strut mount hole?

Its going to depend a little on what the top of your shock looks like.

Probably ~3.0 would be the normal limit, plus or minus depending on the above.

Most seem to top out around -2.75 degrees with stock style struts and without camber bolts installed at the base of the strut.

I top out at -2.9 with Steeda Camber Plates and Non-Adj. Struts. Stock/non-drilled/OEM strut hole.

For the moment I am installing the Ford Performance camber plates which, depending on which source is quoted, only gets up to somewhere between -2.5 ~ -2.9 so the OEM strut hole will not be limiting for me. So I'm not gonna need to spend more again this time for a one-use tool to ream out that hole.

right, but is the FP plate limit because of the stock sized strut hole, or despite it? I honestly don't know, I've only used the Steeda plates and one other.

It is my understandint that they simply don't have as much adjustability; it's a simple setup where the bolt holes in a stock OEM nonadjustable camber plate are slotted to allow some movement, and the slots aren't that long. (I haven't intalled them yet so could be wrong)...

I got them for a great price on sale much cheaper than the Steedas and thought I'd give them a try. For my goal of a daily driver/intermediate level HPDE track EcoBoost application on 275 width tires the camber limit may be good enough for me.

You are correct on the FP plates. But they are limited by the strut hole. I think I only got 2.5 out of my strut holes before I drilled them out.

^ -2.5 degrees should be plenty for a daily anyways.

DD with about 4-5 track weekends per year with 200tw tires is my plan... so I'll probably be dialing camber in and out a few times per year.

About .3* very little. The one trick you can do is grind the holes for more adjustment.
