The increase in horsepower is more from the tune than the CAI.

Spend the money on Lund's FF tune, and skip the intake. Use the left over money for BMR's cradle lockout kit and vertical links.

Stock intake and paper filter can take you into the 11's

i will say this, i was greatly surprised that when I installed my Steeda CAI that there was significantly less "intake noise" on my '16 GT than there was my '13 GT. Better sound deadening i guess.

Why did you change stock tube to airraid? How does this help out of curiosity?

I did the same thing except I added an AFE Pro Dry S filter. After lots of research I really couldn't find any evidence to prove that the stock airbox is a real restriction in this car. I really think that the modular intake tube from airaid, a drop in filter from AFE, AEM, or K&N, and a big mouth ram air kit from velossatech will give the best results for air flow, especially if you aren't ready for a tune. Haven't dyno so I can't say if there was any significant gain but throttle response is better, induction noise sounds more aggressive, and I gained .5 mpg driving the same as I always do. it must be doing something.

During my research I found a GM truck parts vendor that compared intakes from a ton of companies and the setup that made the most power was a simple airaid modular intake tube and a drop in filter and cost less than half the price of a full setup. I know this is for a GM truck but the principles are the same.
