Breaking necks/compliments

So I had a guy pull up next to me at a stop light and gave me the thumbs up and asked me to roll down the window. He told me that he has had seven mustangs and was super pissed at the new design at first but now that he has seen a few of them up close and personal he has changed his mind. Sweet ride as he pulled off.

20 minutes later as I was getting out of the car in a parking lot a hemi challenger (dodge version of metallic color) parks next to me and the driver walked around the mustang and says wow, nice. While that was going on there was a 12 yr old (or so) from a different car pulling out his phone and taking pictures and poking his dad telling him to check that out.

The driver of the challenger says that kid was just taking pictures of the mustang, awesom, right

just parked at jewel (grocery for non-locals), as I stepped out a sheriff pulls up in his crown vic and says "wanna trade cars for the day" then peels out. I think that was a compliment.

Yesterday a man with an Australian accent parked next to me and stepped out of his truck as I was about to get into my (freshly washed, finally) car.

Him: Beeeeautiful car!
Me: Thank you. It is a lot of fun.
Him (walking toward the rear): Is this a 'Special Edition'?
Me: Nope, just a regular 2015.
Him (looking at its rear): Ah! The GT. I love the color! (Peeks at interior) I didn't know they had leather! Do you mind if I ask what you paid for it?
I told him the approximate.
Him: We all have to do it once!

I was walking out of the grocery store and noticed a older gentleman walking around my car, so like any car guy I was like WTF is this guy doing? I walked up behind him and was like "what do ya think?". We talked for 5 mins, or so, about how he has a '68 Mustang, but was too rough to drive around anymore. He talked up and down about how Ford did such a great job with the new Mustang.

Also, had a guy speed past on the Interstate then mash his brake to slow down and give me a thumbs up.

Owned my Race Red Mustang GT for a couple days now, and had a couple funny things happen today

1) Was at a 4-way stop intersection, the guy crossing literally turned his head and stared all the way through the intersection.
2)At the SAME intersection, there was a little kid in a stroller and the entire time it was being pushed away it craned it's neck and twisted it's body to see the pony for as long as possible.
3)Stopped at a bar for some wings, came out and there was a guy posing for a selfie beside my car. Wasn't sure whether to feel a little upset or flattered.

Had a minivan pull up to the car while I was sitting in a parking lot listening to a message on my phone when my wife said, "there is someone checking you out." I looked out the window and a guy in a silver minivan was stopped and looking at the car.

Still get quiet a few compliments here and there. Most recent one here was when I was going through a drive-thru line at a Chick-fil-a and the guy at the end of the line that hands out sauces and stuff on request said he loves the car and hopes to get one some day lol. And of course, the wife can't help but make a 'ego-stroking' joke right after we drive off :lol:

Still notice alot more looks from other people on the road though. Can't tell if its envy or finally noticing a new Mustang. I like to think that when its a girl pointing at the car with her man in the car, she's either saying she wants one or the "why don't you drive something like that " while they roll in a Prius or Sonata
Or more realistically, their thinking, "look at that asshole in a new Mustang" :lol:
