Yeah he is, I have bugged him a lot and he is very helpful. At first he told me he didn't have any of the extensions which is why I created this thread, but I guess he found some. Hopefully I am about done bothering him so he can do his normal work.

Yeah I was hoping to get another black 8-pin connector like on this extension and connect it to a 4 pin connector (or the wpt1239 pigtail since I need some cable to reach the hub anyways) for the carplay hub.

Well the benefit to this is the harness has already been tapped for power. I just need the wpt1239 pigtail and to find this same 8-pin power connector to attach to it. I may need to contact Jesse again to see where he got this 8-pin connector, but I feel bad bugging him so much.

Has anyone who purchased a 4'' to 8'' harness from OEMRadio (Jesse) have a connection for the car play usb hub? Mine came with the cable pictured below, but that square grey connector will not work with the usb hub. I was told I need a wpt1239 pigtail, but I do not know what the 8-pin black...

For anyone who has done the 4'' to 8'' SYNC conversion, what adapter did you buy to allow the USB cable to connect to the new APIM? I hear the stock usb plug won't connect to the APIM without modification. I am working on getting the parts for a conversion and wanted to get this while I waited...

Yeah you can do it, but harness would make it easier and I already have forscan assuming that is all that is needed for the APIM adjustments since that has the ability to edit the APIM parameters. No big deal, just saves me money I guess. Maybe if prices drop, but I don't expect them to drop...

This isn't SYNC 3 OEM, just a UI that mimics SYNC 3. It is just a upgrade over the base SYNC 4''.
