Our Mustangs are always mistaken for cars costing thousands more. After leaving a meeting of friends and walking across a parking lot with a couple of them, two of them about to get in a big Mercedes yelled back at me, " So, when did you get the new Jag convertible?" I just shot back..."Couple months ago". Laughed all the way home.
Lmao.

Had some young kid pull up to me at a stop light last night and said "that exhaust sounds nice as f***" I couldn't help but laugh. Thanks corsa

Am I odd that that after 25 years of driving cars like this that I really don't care what other people think of the car. I bought the thing to drive it for myself. I generally dont "look" around me for people checking it out and don't try to engage people long who try to force a conversation (especailly in dangerous conditions such as actually driving).

Nerveless, the best experience I had with breaking necks was by far Sept 1999 the day the Honda S2000 came out in the USA. I picked up one of the first 10 (they deliver in this area from Japan). The reaction to that car was insane... people screaming at me.. hanging out the windows in *cross* stop light traffic. Standing ovations at drag strips. Kids running to the curb to see it. People driving next to it. Crowds drawn at gas pumps. That being done *the entire* time I drive it non-stop, it was basically dangerous to drive the thing any where. But that was also in the hay-day for Honda popularity which is almost gone today.

Whether or not someone else comments or drools over your car has very little to do with the owner wanting the attention. But some owners do notice admirers more than others do, and/or post more about what admirers say.

You would be considered the handsome guy who doesn't realize or care he's handsome.

I was sitting at a drive thru window on Friday evening when one of the employees came out the side door to take out some trash. He was face to face with my car when he walked out and let out an instant "Oh my God! That's badass!" as soon as he saw the Mustang.

About a month ago in a different drive thru window, the employee literally hung out the window to ogle the car as I drove up. He said, "You have no idea how much I envy you right now." I tried to encourage him a bit by letting him know I was once in his shoes (you know, anything is possible if you stay in school and apply yourself, blah blah). After he handed me my food he said, "I'm just gonna sit here staring as you slowly drive away." I told him there would be nothing slow about it and gave him a show and concert to save to memory.

Had a high school age girl jump out of her parents car in the Home Depot parking lot and come over to tell me she liked my car. Crazy. Guy in the parking lot at church this morning said "I'm a Chevy guy, but that is a good looking car". Why, yes it is, thank you!

So I just uber'd back home from Stang-Hi and 5 minutes later my uber driver asks me if I'm the guy with the silver GT convertible mustang, lol. Told me he's seen me all yesterday and the day before, and loves the way the car looks and sounds. That was cool.

Back in April I went to Cars and Coffee Lehigh Valley, in Bethlehem, PA. When I was leaving, in a line with hundreds of other cars, I was stopped next to a 5 year old kid and his mother. She kept pointing at my car, looking at him, and saying "Look, it's a Mustang! A Mustang!" I revved the engine a little, which put a giant smile on his face.

I thought this was incredible, because I felt like I was that kid not that long ago. Being in the driver seat was like a dream come true.

It was moments like that which make it all worth it :D

I've probably broken more necks in one day (just got my super snake stripes put on) than I have in the 3 months I've owned the car combined. It's amazing what some stripes do.

i go to car shows and amazes me how people act as if they never even seen one...ever...not even pictures...drooling over it.
i also get that reaction with the boss sometimes but i understand that....they only made so many of those....but the 15? like dime a dozen

Driving on the Freeway. Looked to my left, some dude in his car was grinning like a total idiot, nodding his head giving me the thumbs up lol.

Best compliment yet! Today our carpenter comes into our store to discuss planning, materials, etc. After some time, he asks if thats my black Mustang in the parking lot (guess my 50 years Mustang tshirt gave it away). So after several minutes of talking and answering questions about my car, my boss comes around the corner, and the carpenter says to him "Have you seen his car? You going to let your employee drive a nicer car than you?!" My boss is always rambling about how awesome his car is, he just bought a 2016 Golf R like 2 weeks ago.

Drove over to the local Sonic topless to get a burger tonight and one of the carhops came over and asked if I would mind if he took some pictures of my car. After taking a few pictures with his cell phone, he told me that he was saving up to buy a Mustang. Those comments made that burger taste awfully good.
