Pulled up next to a nicely restored red 66' Mustang, but was a car back. We were both turning left and I ended up changing lanes directly behind him. Caught him looking in his rear view mirror so I gave him a thumps up from my steering wheel. He hung out a thumps up out his window and waved me up next to him. We had a few compliments and hauled ass away. I played chase for the next few lights as we both were driving like morons through traffic till he had to pull off on to his turn.

Twas a ton of fun! Would have been cool to watch as another driver... New chasing old.

The cleanliness and shiny-ness of your car will play a big role too. Some cars can still get looks no matter how dirty they are (lambos, ferraris, any 100k+ car), but the stang isnt one of them. If you keep it clean and shiny though, its a different story. Even ill overlook a nice porsche because it is dirty but if its next to a clean shiny shiny 2005 v6 mustang, im probably gonna check the stang out.

I was detailing my black GT in the driveway last weekend and a guy probably in his early 30s and his son around 8 to 10 years old were riding their bikes down my street. As the dad rolls by he looks over at my GT and his eyes are locked on to the point his head was turned all the way around still looking at it as he rolled by. He then lets out a loud "Sweeeeet!". His son behind him yells out "Do you want that car?". The dad goes "Yeah, don't you?". LoL ... :D

This Ruby Red is something else in the sun.
Certainly is.

Ford did indeed score with this one. I am a new fan. It's a nice balance between retro and modern, and the design tends to reach people throughout the generations. Little kids go crazy over it (though they loved my wrangler, too; it was tricked out looking ike a giant toy), but my 80yo FIL, proud owner of an Ivy Green '65, absolutely adores this car and thoroughly enjoys riding in it. Can't talk with him in it much when on the highway, though, as his hearing is getting bad, and he is stubborn about looking into it.

The reaction from a family member that shocked me most, though, was by an aunt on Thanksgiving. I swear...thought she was gonna run out and buy one the next day!:p

^sounds like your getting more attention with your car than you ever could have with a new pair of the Ruby Slippers...you know, new Italian Ferragamos!

I still get the complimentary approach from people that I have never met before just about every where I happen to visit . A great conversation starter specifically about the 2.3 Ecoboost engine and how people are unaware of the specifics introduced with this generation of the Ford Mustang. I love it. .....

I was just talking about this thread to my friend, how I can't even remember the last time I drove without getting a compliment and I was waiting at a red light, when this milf in a minivan making a right turn stops right next to me to say "nice car :)"

That's when I turn to my friend and say SEE! I told you!

First day driving it to work, and as I pass an intersection with that guy in a pick-up truck, I definitely see him staring at the car; he stopped next to me with his windows down at the next light, but since I just got tint done, I couldnt open my window. As I made a left, and he made a right, I looked in the mirror to see his arm out the window giving me a big thumbs up !
I loved this car from the first second I saw it, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna get better and better everyday, definitely a great neck breaking ride

I exchanged waves on Saturday from a guy in a 60s Mustang. It seems this is a fraternity like the Jeep and Corvette guys. Fun!

Had an older guy (late 60's?) who owned a 68 say my car was just amazing. That is respect.

The other day I was ripping around the backroads when I saw a 2015 50th vert coming towards me from the opposite lane. No words, wave or anything....we both downshifted and gave a good rev as we passed by, lol. It was pretty cool.

Most people who see a 2015 Mustang have a "Marilyn Monroe Mustang Moment"...you know, from the movie "The Seven Year Itch", where Marilyn steps on a subway grate and her dress blows up...and everyone LOOKS! You can't help not looking...you must look. That's exactly what happens when most people see the 6G Mustang...a "Marilyn Monroe Mustang Moment"! A great body always deserves a look. Just saying...

Had a few funny instances myself.

The first time I got a compliment was when I parked in front of Chase to go to the ATM (before entering the lobby) since people at the drive-thru ATMs never know how to work the machine and take ages. As I walked out to get back into my car, a lady came out of there and said, "you're a rich man" and smiled. Being that I just turned 24 and just purchased my first car on my own, this boosted my ego a lot, haha.

Second time was when I went back to this shop that did my window tint because of some minor peeling. The owner told me to pull up to the front and every employee (about 7-8 people) including the owner came to the front and started complimenting the car, the tint, and asking me how I liked it. They stated that the person who did my tint is also wanting to buy one now because of how much she liked mine.

The third best time was when I went to my barber shop and the only parking space that was available was directly in front of the front glassed door (where everyone in the shop can see the car). The minute I walked into the barber shop, all of the barbers and some of the customers were asking me, "is that the new mustang? is that a convertible?!?!?!?!" My barber kept telling me that I was jumping/shaking a lot while in the chair (and I didn't notice). That was a crazy hour for me. Not to mention that there was a lot of traffic with people walking by and staring/pointing at my car.

It's usually always all eyes on me at the gas stations, and sometimes it can be a little bit uncomfortable with the attention, but only sometimes. :)

There's only two other 2015 mustangs at my apartment complex, and only one of them is a GT. I've never seen a single 2015 mustang convertible in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as of yet, so I'm still feeling all nice and special with mine. I keep my car parked in an apartment garage (purchased it the same day I bought my car), so there's no concern for anyone scratching or bumping it.
