I've been daily driving my Boss-equipped '11 and my latest tune put power everywhere in the rev range. Perhaps one day I'll do back-to-back dynos of my basic Boss intake tune then the optimized tune to show the midrange gains.

That is the best information I have seen to date, and speaks the truth. Further proves the Boss manifold is in fact an upgrade as I have been preaching for years. Also shows that yes, the CJ is an upgrade, but hp per dollar, the Boss trumps it. Also proves that a good set of cams tuned properly will allow all manifolds to really wake up, but again, shows the benefits of having a manifold targeted for higher rpm to really allow the heads of the coyote to shine. Thanks for sharing this.

How do you think the GT350 would slot in comparison?

Wish they would have tested it.

I think the gt350 intake manifold is a definite improvement over the stock intake manifold for peak power. I believe the gt350 doesn't lose the as much low end power compared to the boss manifold and still shifts peak hp up at a higher rpm, probably making peak power around the 7300-7400rpm range. I am not sure how peak power will compare to the boss and the CJ but by visual design, I feel it will be a "better" stock manifold if that makes sense. Maintain low and midrange but gain peak. Just not as much IMO. I have not personally tuned or tested one so my statement is 100% speculation.

As far as I've heard and seen the cobra jet makes flat out the most power, but like the boss manifold the hood needs to be modified or new engine mounts to lower the engine have to go in. Both eliminating the stock strut tower brace as well. GT 350 manifold makes almost as much power as cobra jet , makes more then the boss, while losing zero power and torque down low. No hood modification needed , no strut tower brace loss and no engine mount change. The GT350 manifold had been my manifold of choice and I will tell you that it made a night and day difference with my car the car pulls HARD , these cars need to rev! The engine is not a torque monster by any means it's a high revving high horsepower motor. I felt zero loss down low and the dyno proved it. Any rpm over 4800 all the way to 7800 it's pulling hard.

Tower brace works great on mine. :ninja: Just have to be creative with a few spacers.

Yes. I just highlighted the no strut bar. Insulation works. I just don't like the look of it. The engine is also lowered 3/4". The bad thing is, I modified the hood before lowering the engine. Had I went with motor mounts first, I could have avoided the hole.

You did a very nice job with the brace and complimented with the rail covers, it looks very nice.

Silver50Pony - do you have a build thread or anymore info?? Also, did you go from a stock manifold on a stock tune to a GT350 manifold with a tune? If yes, I'd say the tune helped a good bit with the power change. Oh, GT throttle body or GT350 TB?

No build thread,I wish I had done one. I went from stock manifold with steeda cold air intake and catback Lund flex fuel tune. Car was strong ran its balls off, performance pack 3.73s , as soon as gt350 manifold came into play I was on it, heard no new motor mounts , no cutting the hood no loss of strut brace and final seller was zero loss of torque down low. I installed it along with 350 TB and switched to PMAS intake as it's the best intake in the market and when running a manifold like that and larger TB, it would make more solid power. Installed the Lund flex tune with 47 lb injectors to handle the higher revving E85 and the car has big balls man , everyone who I've let drive it cannot believe the difference either , even when you shift now from 3rd into 4th at 7800 rpm it really pounds you back into the seat I must say nothing like stock manifold LOL , the motor needs to rev man

I'm assuming with the stock 3.31's in mine I'd feel a lot of low end loss even with a tune? Since anyone that's run this intake seems to be in the pp cars with the 3.73's

Wouldn't get too stressed , yes the gears are different but it won't be drastically different in terms of pull. I don't feel that your low end tq would suffer due to gearing. Your not losing any power down low it will feel the same maybe a little faster until 4000 rpm after that you will be amazed at the difference
