I haven't experienced the other intakes, but my Boss plants me firmly in my seat all the way to 7,600rpm and I would wager well beyond that. You will feel it. Bill88stang

Absolutely. With My custom Lund tune, I don't miss the imrc's at all.

I asked a while ago about.

Boss intake
GT350 TB
GT350 cold air
47# injectors
E85 tune

I beleve that would be a cost effective setup cheaper than the Ford Racing PP3 and if someone planned on going e85 the PP3 would be some wasted money on cal. too.

I never did hear much response from this thread i made a while ago.

What are your guys thoughts here now?

Mainly why I was even considering the boss intake over the gt350 is A. it cost less and B. it would be great with a centri supercharger later on.

it has an engine!
I think you'd be better off with the sniper. Similar results but fits without extra hassle. It does a bit better than the Boss NA wise from what ive seen. It also does well with boost later.

I think this setup will perform just fine, however, I would be concerned with fitment with the gt350 intake and boss manifold. The throttle body entry is at a different position and angle, it's almost required to have an intake that can be maneuvered in a few different angles and directions. I know the JLT and Steeda both work with the boss no problem, I cannot confirm anything else.

https://www.airaid.com/mobile/product.aspx?prod=9120 I use this adapter that I purchased from the Airaid store with my Airaid intake on my boss manifold. You can use the stock rubber coupler but it doesn't work out so great and I didn't want to have any issues of it falling off.

Just curious if anybody actually remove their Hood liners for the inside of their Hood for doing the boss manifold install. I'm asking because I left mine in and it touches the top of the boss manifold and has actually rubbed the part that says boss words turned it a little bit black. Not sure what to use to actually get that black off either.

Unless you lower the engine you will need to remove the liner.

I lowered it a half an inch, if I lower it 3/4 of an inch it hits the steering rack on the oil pan, so I'm lowered just a little. Using UPR Street adjustable engine mounts.

Crap.. Your post just made me realize I have been telling everyone wrong. I had mine lowered 3/4" and had contact so I raised it to a 1/2" drop. I totally forgot.
