What kind of spacers did you use to put the strut bar back on?

This is what I did. Kahboom

I purchased some low profile nuts with a 10.9 grade washer, and tightened them down on the K-brace. I think they are about 6mm thick. On the passenger side, this was enough. On the driver's side I did the same, but also added a 10.9 grade washer on top of the nuts. They are about 2.2mm thick zinc plated. Then I installed the brace over those, then I used the factory nuts to tighten down the brace. I bought everything at Home Depot.

Passenger side :
 • K-Brace
 • 10.9 Grade Washer
 • Low Profile Nut
 • Strut Brace
 • Stock Nuts

Driver's Side
 • K-Brace
 • 10.9 Grade Washer
 • Low Profile Nut
 • 10.9 Grade Washer
 • Strut Brace
 • Stock Nuts

What kind of engine mounts you put on? Why do you only want to drop it a quarter inch?

I originally had the BMR mounts and I ended up swapping them out for the UPR adjustable Street mounts. They were too harsh for my liking being my car is a daily driver

Start-up, idling. Feeling of vibration at idle from your feet on the floor board. UPR Street for a few weeks start-up is noticable but no vibration and eventually mellow out when it's broken in. BMR mounts are lighter and a solid product. Just too much NVH for me. Same as the Boomba trans mount. Tried the Race then the Street, both amplified transmission noise so much you can here the clutch and transmission gears. Went back too the Whiteline transmission insert.

Do you think a 1/4" drop would suffice?

Should work. You would not be able to use a strut brace moving forward. My brace is only 4mm higher than my manifold. And if you raise the brace any higher than I have it, it will contact the hood. Rock and a hard place. But it you have no intentions of using the STB, then you should be okay.

Everyone looking for mounts. I have the Steeda adjustable using the softer of their two poly bushing pads. There is no more NVH than stock. I literally can't tell that I have aftermarket mounts. Just an FYI. This was from the get-go with not break-in time.

That is actually quite possible with the right foam trim piece to keep the elements out. You would need to be perfect with the cuts on the hood, but it could be tastefully done.

I have no intentions to use the brace at this time. I did initially, but once I decided to go with the Boss manifold the intent changed.

I noticed the other day when I checked up on my connections that the manifold still makes contact with the underhood cover (you've seen it on my Instagram). It doesn't create a bulge or anything in the hood, but I'm sure after prolonged rubbing it'll wear down the manifold. So basically I just want to lower it enough to keep it from rubbing on the underhood cover and don't want to lower it too much to wear it starts coming close to other parts on the k-member, etc. I've looked at other hood options as well, but not sure if I want to go that route yet, but if I do it'd probably be a GT350 style hood.

Rumor has it, BMR mounts are a little stiff and aren't ideal for daily driving. UPR street mounts are a second option, but the price point of the Steeda mounts is definitely a deferment.

I'm wondering if the new BMR MM008 mounts will fit the bill here. Basically the same thing as a stock mount, just lower, from what I understand.
