I have a bad rear glass. It was hard to notice, but it sounds like Ford is going to replace it. My biggest worry is getting the back glass installed properly in a 2 week old car without doing any damage. I have been involved in removing plenty of windshields from cars. It is not an easy task... Ford doesn't have any type of gasket around he glass, so a tool slip means damaged paint. I have to fix the glass, now that I see it, I see it every time I step up to my car. I didn't notice it my first 10 days of ownership.
What's wrong with the glass? If they use the pneumatic cutter there should be less chance of a slip. I see more guys struggle using a manual blade and struggling then slipping. The pneumatic requires a lot less effort. Then if they shave the remaining glue down by hand with a razor blade evenly and lay the bead well your glass shouldn't be uneven after haha

Figured I'd chime in here. Just picked up my 16 this week. Car had 3 creases and 2 dings and 2 reverse nipple dents. Dealer agreed to pay for MY pdr guy to fix the car. All those are now gone at a cost of $550 to them. Most of my panels were fine. I shimmed the tail lights to correct that issue with the trunk panel alignment. The only other thing I need to tackle is the center bumper / hood. My hood is perfect to the fenders and sides of the front bumper but it looks like either the bumper is raised in the center or hood low. But seeing how the hood is aluminum Im thinking I need to tackle the bumper.

Adjust the hood latch. Mine was the same way. I raised the latch and it's perfect now. My driver side fender is what's off the most on my car. Not ready to tackle that job just yet. I also have a tiny dent in my driver A pillar and one on the driver fender crease. I can't get a picture to show up of the fender that's how faint it is. Only noticed after a polish and seal looking for dents after seeing the one on the A pillar it looks like an imperfection in the fender itself. My buddy works for dent wizard and glue pulled the A pillar. It's much better but can still see it if you know where and how to look for it. I told him not to go to crazy as there is a risk of pulling the paint off. Maybe one day I'll pull the interior A pillar trim cover and see if it can be accessed from inside but it doesn't bother me that much anymore. It looks like it was there prior to paint too. Fords QC is just not as good as it should be. If I was looking to buy my car used I would think my fender was replaced and put on by a shitty body shop...

I agree with your dealer as it true. However whatever Ford deems acceptable for tolerances needs to be tightened up a little bit. I am not asking for perfection but some of these issues seem to borderline on just being careless on their behalf.

Does anyone knows where I can find some pictures or video's on how to remove and reinstall the rear bumper? I want to get rid of the left gap and have the bumper fitted as it was supposed to be, in the factory they seem to have failed on that part.

First pic is the right side, and get's pulled outwards a bit. 2nd & 3rd pic is quite obvious.

TBH, I'm pretty damn disappointed with Ford's quality control. As I've opined before, my 2015 Mazda 6 -- which was $10k cheaper -- has MUCH better fit and finish.

Ford owned Mazda until 2010, and apparently learned very little.

Search the CJ Ponyparts videos for installation of the Roush Quad Exhaust Tips. There is one where they pull and disassemble the whole assembly, change things out and reinstall.

This is with the sensors in the bumper, but should work for you. They also have a video for the regular bumper.

Video is about 25 minutes.

I do have the sensors so it should be fine, thanks for the vid!

After seeing the last part it looks like the bumper just snaps in place, so it kinda does make me wonder if I really need to completely remove the bumper or maybe just unscrew everything and re-position to close the gap.

anyone with the 2016s have any issues? went into the dealer this past weekend and looked at a white gt premium cs. the rear window issue didnt look as bad as when i had my 2015. you could barely tell it was a bit crooked but it was in my opinion "in tolerance". the paint looked fine, my 2015 had debris painted over some areas. the passenger door wasn't so far forward, the fender to hood alignments looked good, could be adjusted a bit but something you can do easy. forgot to check the rear of the car more but looked like a car i would have picked up if it wasn't an auto.

My 16 has a misaligned trunk. I am debating if I want the dealer touch it or just do it myself.

I have had a similar horror story to most of you hear but multiply it by 2 because both my friend and I bought 5.0s the same day. On December 13th 2015 we walked in to a ford dealership. Found a White and Magnetic 2016 Mustang GT 5.0 Base with Recaro Seats. It was perfect this is everything we wanted and they had it at the dealer close to us. Walk in, talk numbers get great deals, sign the papers and drive off. H

Here is where the horror begins. Get home park it, and first thing I do is make an account here. Start browsing the mods section and the marketplace and then decide to make the fateful decision to look at the warranty and recall thread... First post that comes up is misaligned body panels...... I start to read and instantly my heart sinks... I justify it to myself that most of the cars having the issues are 15s and not 16s like the one I just bought outside..... I wake up the next morning and start to examine my new ride.... Heart sinks even more. Trunk lid misaligned by more than an inch. Rear bumper jammed up against tail light on passenger side causing horrid gap with quarter panel. Front bumper passenger side bulging out and slight hood sag near driver front fender. Enraged I call my friend and tell him of my findings. He looks at his car and what do you know same issues. Thankfully we bought the cars at autonation and have 3 days to return them no questions ask. Drive back to the dealer the next day say give us our money back and hand them the keys. Dealer is furious asking why are we doing this, asking if we think car buying is a joke. We say it is pathetic that we are having these issues on a 30K+ car. They promise us they will fix it at the body shop but we decline because its pathetic that a car needs to go to the body shop from the lot. All in all we got our money back but will never get over how heart breaking it was to see all those issues on a new car. I came from the German Scene VW GTI, VW Golf R, and VW CC and I guess maybe I was expecting to much but for 30K Plus my car better not look like it was aligned by Ray Charles. Car looks great till you get up close and look. Im probably an idiot but we are still browsing to see if we find some 2016s not as messed up but the concept that I have to search around for cars that don't need to go to the body shop is baffling. Terrible Job Ford. Terrible. If any of the Ford Reps on here are willing to make this right and can maybe send me and my friend some Direct Bonus Cash offers id appreciate it. Thanks.
