Misaligned body panels?

My rear bumper on the drivers side doesn't quite line up with the quarter panel. Is this something I could get fixed if i brought it in?

Wow this is big news! Are there more cars like this or was this a one off? Sounds like they may have some production issues...

My passenger side door is not flush at the bottom.. Called the dealer to get it fixed but the "body guy" is only there during the week. I'm off on weekends now I have to either take a few hours off or find another dealer that does body work on the weekends.

My passenger side door is also not flush at the bottom. The service department asked me to bring it by to look at it. I pointed out basically that the door and fender does not align at any of the four corners. (First visit)

They said they "couldn't get to it that week" and I had to come back. It's a long drive... Whatever. So I had to set an appointment to drop it off, which I did, today. The guy remembered the top part of the door, and I reminded him about the door gap at the bottom. They called and said the car was done 8 hours later. I picked up the car and drove it home. I wish I had looked at it before I did, damn it I need to stop trusting people. The top of the door looks good, but the rear/lower part doesn't look any different at all.

Service writer probably didn't even remember to tell the body shop to look at it. I wish I could deal with the body shop directly, but I can't. So now I get to make a THIRD 40 mile round trip to drop this fucking car off.

I'm tempted to take it to the body shop I usually use and just pay out of pocket. It couldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks to have it fixed right the first time, which you would think Ford would have done at the factory.

I'll be interested to see how they re-align the bottom of the door.

My passenger side door is also not flush at the bottom.

I'm beginning to wonder if they just can't.

Maybe they're all like that.

If they bring the whole door in, then the top would be in too far, and if they bring only the bottom in, it would seem like the window would not contact the seal with as much force, and it might leak, or have wind noise, or both.

I don't know... Is yours as bad/worse?

They did mine
Yours was like mine, and they fixed it? And you're happy, no leaks, nothing like that?

If so, good. I am really hoping the service writer just failed to inform the body shop.

I'm still pissed as hell I have to make a THIRD long-ass trip down to the dealership but hopefully it will be my last.

It's definitely much better than before if not perfect. Was looking like an open door.
No leaks.

Thanks! Yeah mine looks slightly ajar. In the pic you can see the gap gets wider toward the bottom, but if you look right down the side of the car, the door looks like it's open about 1/8" or a little more.

I have a bad rear glass. It was hard to notice, but it sounds like Ford is going to replace it. My biggest worry is getting the back glass installed properly in a 2 week old car without doing any damage. I have been involved in removing plenty of windshields from cars. It is not an easy task... Ford doesn't have any type of gasket around he glass, so a tool slip means damaged paint. I have to fix the glass, now that I see it, I see it every time I step up to my car. I didn't notice it my first 10 days of ownership.
