I would it is worth it for many reasons, BLIS is good in parking lots when you can't see. I'm amazed how good it is at seeing cars from the side, and shaker rocks,And finally memory seats when you use your key and it's ready when you get in, and my wife's is set to her key. It's the little

Mixed feelings on this package after saying it was a must have. Wish I could of picked and chose what exactly I wanted from this package.

BLIS is great, the 12 speaker sound system is great, but the cross traffic alert is amazing. If you park in lots or have to back out of a driveway it's almost a must have. The Mustang sits so low that if you have a truck or SUV on either side it's almost impossible too see cross traffic. There's a few times that I don't know how I would have backed out without it, other than slowly creeping out and hoping no one hit me. Even if you don't have to park in lots, it's great for backing out of driveways.

I also have the adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning. I could live without that, though I can see the forward collision coming in handy on occasion. Now if I can figure out how to get it to work like the shift lights on the GT350's, then I will say it's worth it. :)

If you don't have 401a, you would never miss it. I have it and I wouldn't go back... EVER!!!!!!

I think the cross traffic alert can "see" much better than the backup camera. If your Mustang is parked between two F150 crew cabs, you will want the BLIS. But then again, you can always just back out very slowly and hope an approaching vehicle yields, and isnt busy sending and receiving text messages.
This^^^ and yes it is totally worth it.

Anyone know what it would take to add spotter mirrors?

I have 401A and it's awesome. Got it for the sound system and the seats, but I like the BLIS. It's more of a convenience thing than a save-your-ass thing, if that makes any sense. 10/10 would buy again

I disagree, it's an absolute save your ass thing. When 2 SUV's park next to you in a parking lot, and some asshole is flying through the rows like he's at the brickyard...you will instantly realize the benefits of BLIS. I am amazed how far out laterally it can see cars when you are backing out of blind parking spaces.

Ah yes I agree, in that situation. I was talking about use for blind spots while driving, i.e. changing lanes. While driving it's more of a convenience thing. But it will save your ass (or more accurately your car's ass) when backing out of a tight parking spot. I didn't think of that because I always try to park in the back of the lot or just away from other cars.

Idiots here in Miami. You would swear they are driving on a regular street driving out of these parking lots at the mall, publix etc ...

I have an Ecoboost 201a, which I believe is the same as the GT 401a package. I got it for the stereo, BUT I love it for the BLIS! I don't even ever look over my shoulder anymore, just check the light on the side mirrors.

The only thing the car is missing is front sensors, I'm afraid of hitting my rims on a curb, and the front end is hard to judge sometimes since it is big.

I have rented a great of amount of premium mustangs without the sub, and theres not a HUGE difference between the stock shaker and the 201a/401a sound, but the BLIS definitely makes the difference for me.
