I too did a similar test a few months back when I came across a video on youtube (I think it's by Car Throttle). And yes, blind spot is still there, but marginally smaller compared to the way I used to adjust the mirrors. So I would say I want to keep my blind spot monitoring system.I did a little experiment this weekend. I adjusted my mirrors per post #14 and then took a 1.5 hour road trip. I noticed that even with the mirror adjusted out to where you can't see the car there's still a blind spot. Interestingly enough as soon as the car entered the blind spot the light on the mirror came on. I'll probably re-adjust the mirrors so that I just see the edge of my car and let BLIS do its thing.
