They add in cabin drone when compared to an X, in general. Depending on location, can be minimal or be horrid. I have never seen an X add drone but have certainly had some H pipes add interior resonance.

They most certainly do not. Drone is a muffler design issue. Get a proper muffler design and it will never drone regardless of what crossover design you have.

LOL ok bud, if H pipes had no effect on sound resonance, then 90% of this thread is also a hoax, claiming an H pipe gives a deeper sound. The deeper tone, which I agree it creates, can also result in increased interior resonance (aka drone).

I have run many different H and X pipe setups keeping mufflers the same, and it certainly created drone by using an H.

A bit of follow up in case anyone is interested; I traded communication with "Bill" this morning. He is apparently interested in selling these to people still, though the prices seemed to have changed. Here is what he told me:

$275 - single H-pipe
$250ea. - 3 or more ordered
$225ea. - 5 or more ordered

You're the first person I've ever seen make this claim.

Drone is usually caused by the muffler design, or using a straight pipe instead of a mufflers. It can also be caused by improper installation where some part of the exhaust is touching where it shouldn't be.

I did a custom muffler delete on my 2012 V6 and it droned at certain rpms, but was bearable . I also tried a different muffler on my current GT with the H I have on it now. The mufflers caused a really bad drone that made me feel like I had a vice crushing my skull. Needless to say, I took those off fast and put on the Borla S-Type axle back with the H. There is not any drone on it. Just a nice deep exhaust note.
