Looking at buying a short throw shifter for my 2020 GT. What is everyone’s preference? Been looking at the MGW, Ford Performance and Hurst. Anyone have any experiences with any of these? Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Looks great. I think this may be the route I go. May go with the low profile option although this does look pretty low profile as is.I have only used and installed the MGW and it is simply perfect.
I like it because shifts naturally just go into gear without really guiding it, except 1st and 6th where I need to push the shifter left or right.
Because of this, I never miss a gear.
I got the standard xspec which feels better as it is lower and feels better when holding it since I can keep my hand lower and have more support on my wrist from the center console.
Finally, I was able to keep OEM look since my OEM shape lockout collar fits, which is great.

This piqued my interest, but when I looked it up, apparently it won't fit 18-23 cars without some sort of compromising on parts? NVH weight?if you got $800 to spend on a shifter have at it. I installed the FTB shifter bracket and got a shelby american short throw lever off ebay, all in $225. Shifting now fells like operating a bolt action rifle.

Interesting comparison, especially if you consider where the MGW shifter comes from -if you got $800 to spend on a shifter have at it. I installed the FTB shifter bracket and got a shelby american short throw lever off ebay, all in $225. Shifting now fells like operating a bolt action rifle.
I have the same on my 2020 GT, very happy with it. I didn't go flat stick and I did mount to the transmission instead of the body. Cant really say I noticed any increase in NVH. I did add the extra springs. Second to third shift is easy, just push forward from second and it goes right into third. That did take some adjustment. A lot of the times I down shift to second while coming to a stop. When I would go from second to first it would go into third, had to get used to actually pushing it over into first, easy now.I have a Barton Hybrid 3 and it is really nice...shifts are clean and crisp...
