With what I spent, I could have spent just a smidge more and went the T-56 route. But learning lessons the hard way right now.

This thread is a solid example of why not to go this route.

Did he give you an eta as to how long it would take to open it up and assess the damage? If you pay for the parts needed to repair/rebuild, can you get him to just ship them back to you, so that you can either reassemble yourself or source another shop for the rebuild? If it’s out of warranty, he should at least give you that option. Have you asked him to provide pics to show what was damaged?

Tremec just released a transmission that goes down shift rev match and speed sensors for the new gen 3 mustangs. Worth a shot.

You have a 16 but the swap should be direct bolt in. But I think any t56 magnum xl will work

I haven't gotten that far with them yet. Whoever was emailing me initially was careful but nice. Then the emails got really short and pointed. It was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it was delayed. It shows arriving by the end of the day today. So I'll reach out tomorrow morning and request a timeline, pictures, and possible solutions. Not sure what to expect from them at the moment, but I'm just not feeling super confident in the product at this point.

It happens, know a local guy that went through 2 full rebuilds ($$$$) on the mt82 before calling it quits. Local trans shop stopped carrying everything except the basics for the mt82 (and claim to have had many of the calimer rebuilt trans failures come through their doors with the ungraded gears).

Hey dude - hope you had a good weekend! Any updates? I've got my car up at my builder right now taking a look at mine, but they think it's a synchro issue.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. Well, I sent them an email last night since today makes a week since it arrived. I'm trying to be patient, as I know they are trying to get other customer orders out the door.

I don't want to say anything bad as of yet. I work in construction, and every day I deal with mistakes and accidents. So I will wait to see what they say when they open it up and go from there.

Wonderful I understand where you’re coming from.

Hopefully there’s some sort of communication later this week.

This guy got his stage 3 (4 months ago) and it's already coming out. And calimer sponsored him. These things are junk. ESS G3R - GT350

(He paid the YouTuber price which is probably free or heavily discounted)

Had a month or two of pulls. Then it starts popping out of gear and making noise. And he is now....

You guessed it. Getting a repair.

- Well, Calimer received it on July 7th

- Acknowledged that they received it on July 7th.

- July 13th I reached out to see what is going on with it and they responded on the 15th as you can see below.

- I reached out again on the 24th since I haven't heard from them.

- I called the number on their email on Monday, the 27th of July, and no one answered, so I left a VM asking for a call back, and so far no one has called.

- Today the 28th I sent a message through their website and I will be calling again shortly.

Well, for whatever reason, if you need to get a hold of them, I guess the best way is to message them through their website.

I think a 90-day warranty on a trans that is this expensive, that requires a 500mi break-in on a car that is most likely not someone's daily driver, is a bit crazy. It took me a little while to get to 500mi as I was also working with Wendgerd on the initial tuning to get the car running right. Not to mention the time it took to put the new motor in, turbo setup, fuel system, etc.... All while the 90-days ran out before the trans was even in the car.

I agree, the 90 days shouldn't start until the break in miles are done. I got my stage 2 Calimer in April and just finished my break in miles last week.
