Bbq tick or something else

I have a 2015 GT with 15,000 miles on it. The infamous bbq tick i’ve heard about started when i changed the oil at around 12,000 miles. I used 5w20 synthetic blend motorcraft oil. Then i decided to upgrade to mobil 1 5w30 full synthetic. The tick got so much worse and is more consistent. Is this the bbq that can be solved with ceratec or is this something worse? I’ve attached a video.

I have the same tick on my 18 with 91k miles, seems to be normal and nothing to worry.
the bbq tick is more loud on 18+ models due to the plastic oil pan.

That's BBQ tick. A bottle of Ceratec will fix that completely! Some people have been able to use as little as a third of a bottle. I used the whole bottle just for reassurance!

40k on my '18 and has sounded just like that since the first oil change. E85 tuned and sees 8k rpm once in a while.

I really believe Ford puts a bottle of liquid moly in at the factory so potential buyers don't hear that.

Thanks just thinking since many instances occur after oil change do you think maybe you have to wait a bit to let the 10 qts fill the engine and starting it too early may cause the tick.

As long as your oil veins aren't blocked the oil should reach the drain pan before you finish adding the 10 qts. I let out half a liter of oil when I added my Ceratec, but I used the whole bottle. It really shouldn't cause any problems but I did it just to be on the safe side.
