Greetings y’all.

I hope i’m the right forum section to post this question but I need the part number or the part description of the black plastic rubber that comes with the battery terminal. I have searched everywhere with no luck. All new battery terminals comes Without it. I have attached a picture showing what I’m looking for it’s on red circle. Thanks for you time.

Are those supposed to even remain after the car is gone over by the Dealer PDI prior to sale?

What purpose do those serve?

As near as I can tell the only way to get those pieces is to replace the entire battery wiring harness.
The clamps by themselves are available but don't include those pieces.
As near as I can tell the only purpose of them seems to be locating the cables in a particular direction. The other possibility is perhaps they offer some corrosion protection.
As far as replacing the terminal ends they won't have any effect on the electrical connection. So they're either for ascetic or locating the cables.

This, they point the cables correctly to exit the battery box and battery cover holes (at least on a RHD euro).

That assumes use of the original battery, or at least a replacement that shares identical terminal positions and lid architecture :like:
