The 8" sub was in the previous 15+ shaker pro.
There are a few long threads about replacement sub speakers.

I just got my new 2021 gt with B&O
i Have been thinking about the 10inch Pioneer as I agree the base is rather off.
instead of going for a 10inch, what about going for a really good 8” sub. The base will be a lot tighter than the 10 and fitting would be easy with a adaptor plate. Pretty much any 8” dual coil 4 ohm will fit.
Opinions ?
It is a lot easier to fit the Pioneer - literally half hour job. 8" would yield very little bass and cost more - not sure there are any advantages ??

I have a new JL Audio that sounds way better than the B&O and fits great, if you're interested. It cost me $850 to get a sub with the kind of bass I was looking for and that's the only reason I didn't stick with the JL Audio 10" in there.

I just gat a 2020GT with the B&O and I must say that the bass is very muddy, very disappointed in it. I am on the fence wether to swap out the sub in the B&O enclosure. I have a dual sub box with 2 10” Rockford punchs in it and amp to push them that I took out of my Maxima. I prefer quality of sound over loudness, but don’t mind feeling a little bass!
Also, are you guys that are swapping out the factory sub flattening the EQ out using Forescan or just leaving it be? And if I were to just add the box, use lines that go to the factory sub for the line level in?
Thanks

Yes use those lines from the stock sub. No need to flatten untill you do something with the rest of the speakers

I finally ended up with the JL Audio 12W6; dang costly though. I intially added a 10 inch JL in the stock box which admittely would be more than enough for most people. Then I added a 12 inch Kicker ported enclosure which is defintely loud but not as precise as I wanted and then the JL Audio and it is doing what I wanted.

I also have this box. Fits nicely in the trunk, and it opens up the corners so you can use that space. It’s pretty heavy duty, I feel like I can hit the face hard with any luggage and won’t do any damage

i like m3 have been on a journey, and ended upwith this. It’s the cleanest bass I’ve ever heard. Not over powering spl. Just clean deep precise bass.

I won’t buy anything other than w6 line again.

Do you happen to have a picture of it in the tunk? I’m thinking I might just go with the box that I have with 2 10” subs. I’m not worried about taking up trunk space as I rarely put stuff in the trunk in this car. That’s what my suburban is for!

Here are a couple of pics.

The 3rd pic is the Kicker sub I had in before the JL Audio. The Kicker gets louder because it is ported but the bass isn't as tight as the JL Audio. The kind of music you listen to is what installers use to decide if you should go with a ported or sealed enclosure. Before I listened to music where the ported was the best, but now the sealed enclosure works for the music I listen to.

The 4th pic is the JL Audio that replaced the B&O in its stock enclosure; so you can see that I have definitely been on a journey.. I'll eventually sell the other 2 subs to recoup a little of my money back.

I have mine sideways. Further back than yours. But I have mine about an inch from touching the seats so it doesn’t vibrate or anything- look at the shelf above it. Mines cushioned to the circular cut out pieces

here’s some pics sorry I have car loaded for my rad installthursfay

Well I just thought of something. I put a Rockford P3SD4 10” in my wifes F150. This sub will work in the factory enclosure as done by Chef jpd. I can pull in out and fit it in and see how it sounds. And if I like it I will just get a replacement sub for the F150. And if I’m not happy with it I’ll just put in the dual sub box that I already have.
