Yes.

That’s the part that goes onto the shifter itself. Then you need the knob after. So need to purchase both it looks like.
Yes, they have both. You can get one with a permanently attached knob, like you said, or this one which will accept any knob with the proper threading.

For those that have the White Madness brand for the S550 auto shifters, how does it operate?

Meaning, with the stock S550 auto shifter, the driver presses down the top mechanism to disengage the shifter to move it into position X.

Doee the entire WM ball get depressed downward to disengage the shifter shaft so it can then be moved into position X?

I wrap my index and middle finger over the ball and under the the slider sleeve. pull up on the sleeve and down on the ball. easy peasy. Oh, make sure you use blue loctite on the two screws. Mine worked loose once. After I applied the blue stuff I never had another issue

Has anyone tried using tubing cutters to trim the shifter stem? The video only shows a hacksaw. Thanks in advance.

I have white madness for about 8 months now and love it. It's nice and heavy, quality part.

Why is it some shifters have 2 vertical holes and others have 2 holes straight across front to back?

The ones with the two holes use the OEM shifter threaded holes to secure the aftermarket shifter into position. I dont know how the one hole system works

I ordered one for my Mach, and it is the straight through design. Unfortunately I do not have the car yet, so I cannot verify the mounting holes.

Is that the “short” model from WMG?

Been looking at them again... thanks.

With the short does it sit lower than stock? Some pics I’ve seen there’s a long shaft with ball on top and others I’ve seen the stock is much shorter. To me anyways, I like the shorter one by far.
