ARE ALL FIRST OIL CHANGES FREE?

I purchased my car from a private individual with 900 miles. I keep reading about Fords first oil change on the site. Do I get my first oil change free? Or is that something only certain dealers do?

Ummmm is this a serious question? Why would the dealer give you the freebie, you are not the original buyer....

Don't use an oil based lubricant for fisting. It leaves a residue and can cause irritation if not properly cleaned.

My salesman said he would get me my first one free but it isn't a standard thing.

Sounds like a great question for the dealer you plan to take it to.

My first one is free. They already set up the date, for 6 months after I bought the car. Not sure if its a dealer or Ford thing. But I never asked for it.

From my dealership:

2013 Explorer Sport - 5 free oil changes
2013 Raptor - No free oil changes
2016 Mustang GT - 1 free oil change

Thanks guys. I wasn't planning on going to a dealer unless they offered a free oil change. I didn't know if that was a FORD deal or individual dealership deal. I guess I will pick one and call.

I got one free oil change from the dealer. but bought it new. Cant see a dealer paying for an oil change if your not the orig owner.

? If you had a free oil change, it would be from a dealer that sold you the car.

No point in calling any other ones, they will probably politely decline but will joke about this call for at least a whole day....

Just got my '17. Dealer tossed in two oil changes on them, at 7.5k and 15k. The work has to be at that dealer, so clearly not a Ford thing.

lol theyll most likely hang up on you laughing after you reply you didnt buy it from them :lol: and personally I wouldnt want their free oil change, not sure what oil youre getting and the risk they will over/under fill it, not tighten the filter, over tighten or strip the drain plug.......etc. etc.
