So you'd go 13 inch adjustable if you did it again? You gain or lose length depending on how high or low the L channel is mounted to the crash bar or is it height specific because a proper angle needs to be maintained in order to mount the lower portion of the support rod? Thanks for the help.
It’s from bottom of crash bar. I did buy a second barrel of 13” but never used it. But yes from where I mount mine(bottom of crash bar) I would go an extra inch because I have a good amount of exposed thread on the ends.

I'm looking at some good quality rods that come in 12 or 14 with one inch of adjustment. If the 12 inch adjusts to 13 would you use those or the 14 inch?

I'm using the Professional Awesome stuff. The rods are carbon and cut-to-length and pretty cheap. I keep spare rod length in my toolkit so if I break one on a trip I can do a replacement repair on site.

I found some nice rods that will accommodate 13.75". I'm thinking those should work. Your thoughts?
Forgot to take pictures when I came home yesterday but my rods are 12”. I guess I was thinking that i would make the barrel/center piece longer. By the way my splitter is 2.25” from the bumper lip so that plays a factor

And your attached to the bottom of the crash bar?

And your attached to the bottom of the crash bar? The rods I'm considering are 12" adjustable up to 13.75". Should work fine?

I was able to drill into the bottom of the steel bumper and fish a nut into the back side. It only took a few small notches in the bottom grill and I think underside of the bumper to pass the rods through.

I'm going the same route as you and will install this coming Wednesday. I'm going to install rivnuts in the bottom of the crash bar. I've got a pair of 12" strut rods; do you think they'll be too long? I've also got the one's that came with the Apr splitter and I believe they're 8.75" but was worried they wouldn't reach the crash bar.

My cars in storage but I’m going to be out there tomorrow working on another car. If I get a chance I’ll measure them.

rivnuts work great.

these rods are about 11” hole to hole and 12” if you include the attachment points, but my splitter is long and like 2-3” below the chin lip valence, so 12” is probably a bit long for an APR.

theres some wiggle room with angle and a little room under the bumper to work with. I have a piece of threaded rod that drops down from the crash bar rivnuts to get my attachment points down below the bumper cover, and you could do that differently, so YMMV
