Just had these delivered, they are sharp looking and I was surprised how light they are.

I don’t know why these aren’t more popular, seems like the VS5 outnumbers these 5 to 1, but I think they look great.

I dropped down to an 18” size mainly for tire choices, but they are also less costly than the 19” version, and tire selection is a little cheaper for my intended use. Well, they’re all going to be expensive. Car is going to see some track use, so sort of building my choices around that.

Going to be wrapping them in 315/30/18 Potenza RE71RZ(if I can get some) or Advan A052s.

(Will post more pics when tires get mounted and wheels are on, have a moderate amount of work to do/parts to install on the car.)

I love those wheels. I got the vs5rs before these were available or I'd have gone the route you did. The vs5rs are slightly lighter is the main reason. And these come in wider sizes, which means it's a bit harder to stuff them in the stock fenders on a non 350/500.

Tire rack has the stones you are looking for available now. Seems the 325 and up they still don't have, which is what I was waiting for.

Excellent choice!

Still don’t have tires. But I got the hubs pulled and put back on with extended studs. Fronts are test fitted. Just a matter of getting tires now. Fun money budget is ab 2/3 of the way there.

I’ve got maybe 3/8” clearance to the strut. I’m thinking I might need to trim the fender liner in a couple spots, we will see after the tires get mounted.

I should really do a build thread but I’m lazy.

Tires mounted.

Budget took over on this one, so they got wrapped in Azenis RT660+, which should be fine for a beginner Autocrosser anyways.

Going to ceramic coat them in the next couple weeksand then get them on the car.

Shout out to @Discount Tire store #1716 in Madison WI, got them mounted and balanced without a scratch.

Those are sweet. Going to look great against the lightning blue. I've had them on my radar for a while, just waiting to feel impulsive again.

DOO it hehe.

Looks like their Winter Sale is over now, so I'd wait for another, will save you a little bit. I could have waited till the next Black Friday sale, but nobody's got time for that. 😁

Those are going to look fantastic! One thing I noticed when I ceramic coated my matte bronze wheels. The matte sort of went away, and with the heat generated, the ceramic coat itself developed cracks. Just something to think about, don't go too thick with it.

Thanks.

I install coatings as part of my business, I will use a higher temp coating designed to withstand that better… the car will be autocrossed, no HPDE, so I don’t think they’ll see as much heat.

I’m aware that the finish will change slightly with the coating but based on my experience with coating satin and matte wheels, it will be minimal.

I agree they’ll look great. Can’t wait to get them bolted up!

I've got a build thread, forgot about this one. Got them mounted up, look great IMO. There's some fender gap, but I was expecting that. Don't care.
