I've been looking around at all the Gen-3 boost kits. Lots of superchargers and turbo kits.

They used to have them for the older Coyotes, but haven't found any of these yet. I'm wondering, has Vortech or Paxton come out with any low-mid boost Non-Intercooled kits for the 2018-19 GT yet?

I'd give Vortech/Paxton a call. I'm sure they'd set you up with a non-intercooled kit. ProCharger most likely won't though. Just keep the boost and timing down. I can understand why people would want a non-intercooled kit due to not having to cut up the car to fit an intercooler.

My IC required 0 cutting on my 2018.

Not sure about 15-17 cars.

You're not running a popular kit. Most I've seen do require some trimming.

Huh?

Those systems come with a different blower than the coyote systems which will lower the price in and of itself.

My turbo kit cost $2500.
They all use the standard V-3 Vortech blower design.

What I'm wondering is what the issue is with a low boost system vs a high boost intercooled system, when air temps are very similar with both around 130-150F.

True but my IC is 4” thick which is thicker than the “popular” kits.

Its a pretty big core.

Huh- Procharged-zero cutting
Paxton, Vortech, and my Whipple all require some trimming. I'm surprised you didn't have to cut the radiator shroud.

Yep didn't have to cut nothing, just had to remove some rubber shroud pieces (not cut out just removed) to pass the pipes though and bend the radiator hose a little bit with a new fitting. really, really simple install. OP gears and sprocket, now that's a whole different story. lol

yellow 2016 5.0 totaled white 2018 A10 now
Then, why do they list the same V-3 model compressor for all the mustang kits since 2006?

From what I can tell, the main difference is the finish, but the model is the same?

I doubt they all have the same part #

This thread is somewhat quiet now, but we are testing our non-intercooled supercharger kit at the moment, based on a Rotrex head unit. Maximum boost is 5psi, so the intake temperatures are not that high and the kit should be good for about 600hp at the crank, but dyno testing is in two weeks.

The kit has more than 2000 miles of street testing on it, and works perfectly. A temperature sensor right in front of the throttle body makes sure that the ECU has the correct IAT information. We can’t speak for the pre 2018 model, but on the DI gen3 the stock spark maps work without any sign of knock. The purpose of the kit was to come up with the most cost effective power adder for the European market. Yes, you gain more power with more boost and an IC, but not everyone needs or wants 700+ hp.

Make sure you log IAT over a quarter mile pass also. One quick hit on the dyno is nothing.
