Nope, I paid out of pocket for a new Ford crate engine. The worst part was waiting 6 months for the new engine to arrive due to being on backorder forever. If it'd been a 5.0, I could've had a new crate engine in less than a week. Oh well, lesson learned and the family cruiser got a new engine.

The new crate motor was only about $3k (service engine) and included pretty much everything but the exhaust manifold and turbo. That's not bad.

I didn't try to get it warrantied. I'm having the shop that does my builds put a new crate motor in it. With the aftermarket intercooler installed, I didn't want to get into a long drawn out battle with Ford to have it replaced.

I was really hoping for the Lund tune with Ngauge because he did a great job on my GT's dyno tune but I'll be content with the Ford tune. At least now the fake engine noises from the stereo will be gone.

Everything is on the car at the shop and I expected it to be dyno tuned today. I got a call saying Lund won't do the remote dyno tune so I told them to do the Ford Performance parts tune on it.
