Any negative comments toward your Mustang?

Only hate I get is from the fact that I got an automatic. Comes from the neighbor who drives an old fusion with a manual. Rims covered in road rash and I can always tell when he's coming home from all the grinding of his gears.

The other comments I hear are from friends who drive camaros and chargers. They get quiet when I ask for a drag race.

For people who choose to comment, they either really like it or just don't.

Most mustangs have always been very polarizing except of course the classic 60's.

That's my experience anyway

I've gotten 1 "looks like a 2 door Fusion" comment. Other than that, everything positive.

A co-worker who sits cross me, who I'm not too big a fan of, and who also happens to be a die-hard prius driver/environmentalist, found out I drove the "8 liter 5 cylinder gas guzzler" GT, confronted me about it in front of other people in an aggressive tone. She was asking me questions like:

"Do you feel good about tearing holes in the ozone layer everytime you drive to work?"

"I bet you use all of your 800 horsepower in stop an go traffic, right?"

"Are you trying to compensate for something driving that car?"

"I hope you tell your future kids all about how contributed to the global increase in daily smog levels because you thought it was cool to ruin the environment when you were young".


Unbelievable...

Tell her to research the impact of her Prius's manufacturing the battery and then just sit there with a smug smile.

They never ever want to discuss things like the manufacturing or disposal of their hybrids OR that they hybrids still use fossil fuels to power their recharging the majority of the time (and even if it was solar, those panels were made by fossil fuels).

"The production phase of electric vehicles proved substantially more environmentally intensive," the report said, comparing it to how petrol and diesel cars are made.

"The global warming potential from electric vehicle production is about twice that of conventional vehicles."

In addition, producing batteries and electric motors requires a lot of toxic minerals such as nickel, copper and aluminium.

Hence, the acidification impact is much greater than that of conventional car production.

"Across the other impacts considered in the analysis including potential for effects related to acid rain, airborne particulate matter, smog, human toxicity, ecosystem toxicity and depletion of fossil fuel and mineral resources, electric vehicles consistently perform worse or on par with modern internal combustion engine vehicles, despite virtually zero direct emissions during operation,"​

Only complaint I've heard was that they liked my GHIG 13 GT better. I do wish they had that color on the S550.

I have a V6, and a guy told me it was for poor people.

I was at a parts store picking up some cleaning supplies. Employee told me it was a very nice car. Then he proceeded to ask me if it was a V8, I said "no it a V6", and he said "oh I'm sorry".

Okay, if this really happened I would have had to start laughing myself.

I didn't read you post right the first time and I was thinking I would just inform the person if you make another crack about my lifestyle I'll knock your teeth out--but then I realized it was a woman--you can just laugh and comment on how many thousands of new drivers there are every day in China and India so how fucking stupid are you that you think you are saving the planet driving a Prius
