hahah I love when people make faces at mine because it is a 4 cylinder and then they ride in it and have a different opinion :)

+1 for a stripper GT, especially GTPP, which is what mine is. Most performance for the money of any brand/model. All of the luxury and convenience options are just foof that makes higher margins for Ford and the dealer. Although I guess it's less of a stripper when you start throwing $$$ of aftermarket goodies at it...LOL
I wish there was a "Handling Package" option. The Strut Brace, Sway bars, Shocks and Springs from the Perf Pack, but without having to take the gauges and 3.73 gears. I would've definitely ordered that. But, that's all available over the counter, so that's the route I'll take.

I just didn't want the 3.73's as I do want to get some semblance of fuel economy out of the car. I'll never take it to the track, I might drag race it once. So I figure, I'll go for a GT in it's strictest sense: a Grand Tourer. Something I can hop in and cruise to Portland for a weekend and not have to worry about burning thousands of gallons of fuel or oil or having the engine buzzing 3k plus on the highway.

That is the good thing about the Mustang: it can be many things to many people. I just wish they'd open up the options list a little more. Not so many "take-it-or-leave-it" packages, but a few different upgrades. I'm sure V6 folks think the same. It'd be nice to be able to "Option Up" your V6 with leather, fancy wheels, handling package, etc. ; Not simply one flavour.

But, it's not 1968 anymore. *sigh* :(
