All camshafts have a Lobe Separation Angle. It's inherent in the design. The stock came are just really really wide, like 126-139 wide and then are variable like 50 degrees.
Then it's not ground into the cam like usual on cam in block or intake/exhaust shared cams. Yes, there is an lsa. I guess your right. There always is. But you can't measure it on the cams when they sitting on the shop bench. You maybe can measure after they are installed and change it then.
I'm sure you could says an intake cam is ground + or -, and exhaust cam and then says "if installed times at 0, lsa=". But it's not a true lsa as previously known.
