LOL I made that point a year ago and every 4 banger driver on this forum lost their damn minds. Go figure???;)
Simple fact, there are more 10-11 sec EB cars than blown up EB cars. Which one do the 5.Bros jump on though? The hate is truly comical.

Your kind of doing it again. Once you except the fact that the failure rate is higher you won't take this topic so serious anymore. No hate here. I admire what the EB drag racers are doing. Check the fast list that I used to run. And see if I ever said a single non-positive thing.

What am I doing, being realistic? I didn't realize that was a problem around here. Being realistic tells me all cars will have some issues and they take some time to learn. The Coyote wasn't without problems in 2011/2012, hell even your SBF has limitations that needed to be learned. There is a reason you have a Dart block in your car and not the factory piece. Not too many people are going to jump on an anti-SBF though because people are realistic there.

I think I'm being completely logical and you're continuing the hysteria.

Bro I truely hope your right. I'd love nothing more than seeing 650whp 4 bangers Mustangs running down the strip. I think we're just looking at different sides of the same coin.

EB motor is the same basically as the Mazdaspeed3 motor, it was hit and miss on those when modding just like the damn MT-82 is about handling power. Its the luck of the draw. EB is a fun car to drive and a hell of a car to mod. Don't see why most still hate it. We all still get the same meme hate lately. At least we have more things in common, LOL.

I think we are actually looking at it the same, we just have a different measure of "current" success.

The truth is the vast majority of owners will never have issues but people these days always want something for nothing and many lack personal responsibility. I've had to replace motors, and based on how long you have been racing I can assume you have too. It is part of this crazy world we live in building and racing cars.

Not Butthurt here, merely pointing out that the Ecobooster cheerleaders that dished out the vitriolic diatribe against the Cyclone engine a year ago, no longer own their Ecoboost Mustangs. I have recommended Ecoboost Mustangs to two of my friends and they love theirs. I presently enjoy my Escape and Ford 150 Ecoboost vehicles. I do not denigrate any of the Mustang motors. I do point out the Ford corporate BS in dealing with these blown engines. And I also point out that stupid and cheap "Mods" can also be very expensive. As I've stated here many times, I was going to buy a fully loaded 2015 GT convertible but saw a Cyclone convertible for $14,000 cheaper. Done deal. I have really come to love this little Cyclone motor. All 9 of my previous Mustangs have had V-8s, the last two Coyotes..I'm presently waiting on the MachI to come out. I congratulated the OP on his new GT Mustang and wish everyone's engines a very long trouble free life. I don't make comments about EB owners or their troubles but I will refute them when they "run their mouth" running down other Mustangers' choice of engines. Once and for all for everyone, I am not Butthurt about buying my V-6...I actually love this little motor. I was prepared to buy the $41,700 for cash, but opted for the V-6 vert for $27,700 cash...a $14,000 savings. I'm waiting for the MachI to come out presently. And I'm not "afraid" that my Cyclone engine will be exploding any time soon. Good Night Dudes it's time to start drinking!

Nobody said you're butthurt about the V6, it has been obvious the whole time you're butthurt about the EB.

Not really

I'm not Butthurt about the EB and I have recommended them to two of my friends. What I am Butthurt about is the "smack" and Bullcrap that some of the Ecoboost cheerleaders have spouted off about.:paddle: We don't need a shitload of vitriolic diatribe denigrating someone else's engine choice. All three of these engines have pluses and minuses...and to each their own. I do plead guilty to wanting to "defend" the Rodney Dangerfield "I get no respect" Cyclone motor.:headbang: And I will continue to be critical of Ford's feckless handling of the blown EB motors. I can't help myself as it was my blown engine in 1983 that prompted me to lobby and get the Louisiana Lemon Law passed in 1984.:amen:

:frusty:
Every time you trade in a car within 3 years you are losing 5k or more so instead of risking a 6k repair you went out and spent an additional 5k for piece of.mind.
I feel like you must have serious reading comprehension issues

I CLEARLY STATED:
1. I must be able to rely on my car daily. I cannot risk not being able to get to work on time and not having my car for months while they order and replace my engine
2. It was in the plans to get a GT in the next couple of years anyways

On a side note why I'm always getting hassled by some dumbass who just joined the forum

You are the dumbass who got a brand new car that you needed to rely on and voided the warranty with modifications, got scared because of forum peer pressure and lost thousands of dollars in the process.

Whoa dude, you're being a serious dick. And I sense some projection, here. Are you, perhaps, not so happy with your purchase? OP had that car for at least a year, liked it, but decided he wanted something different now. It's his money, not yours. If anyone is playing peer pressure games, it is you.

Why do you care so much? If you like your EB, go enjoy it, don't start a flame war on here. You say something like "why post about it." Well, this is a Mustang forum. We talk about them here. We talk about when we mod them, when we buy them, when we race them, and (the money shot) when we trade them for a different Mustang.

If you want to be a dick to someone for making an impulse EB buy like a dumbass, then getting regrets and going GT, sling your mud at me, not the OP.

I'm sensing some real jealousy. Someone must wish he had a GT also

You may also need some help with the definition of peer pressure

I can't help but sit back and laugh at all this..

I'm just glad I'm not the only one feeling the wrath of the eb owners. LOL.

I did not delude myself when I got this car.. I was only getting this because the running cost for the GT was way too high (insurance that is). Otherwise, I would of gotten a GT no question about it.. so I never made any excuses in that regard nor did I ever feel a need to defend this thing and I am very critical of it for that reason because before I decided to get it, I got a lot of my prospective ownership experience from the people on this forum. And everything here was all: "EB - Faster than a stock GT for a fraction of the cost and better mpg's/running cost than the boring V6..." who wouldn't be sold on that rhetoric?

That's why I always make it a point to share my experience with this thing, because it isn't all roses.. and like many others here, it quickly got to the point that I'm afraid to touch anything on this car for fear that somewhere down the road a factory defect will lead to an issue that will be denied warranty under the guise of an aftermarket part causing the failure. Like one person here mentioned denied coverage on a FoST due to sound symposer delete? what?!..
