Actually it doesn't lol the latest comparison had them tied at 1.08G's... but it also mentioned the tires were worn, and 3 different instrumented tests prior had it hit between 1.09-1.10G.

I would love to own a Scud or 458, but I don't like the Ferrari V8 sound enough to trade. I would trade my R, heart and soul for an F12 though... the big V12's are where Ferrari's magic is IMO.

LMAO. The Scud weighs 2900 lbs and has 505HP, carbon ceramic brakes (standard on Scud), and is no doubt a world class performer. The 4.3 in the scud has also been noted as one of the best sounding Ferrari's ever with it's flat plane crank, high revving motor. But to each his own! If you feel the GT350 is better, good for you! Doesn't grip well and doesn't sound good is not something I've ever heard anyone say before about a Scud!

The F1 Superfast transmission is to die for, unique to only the small #'s of Scuds and 16M's out there.

Now if you rented the Scud at Disney and took it on the track there, I understand your opinion- I drove that one and it was severely de-tuned, they had replaced the carbon-ceramic brakes with standard F430 brakes (for money savings), and the guy in the passenger seat while you were driving was limiting HP during the entire drive.
You like what you like. I get that you like the Ferrari a lot. I apologize if my opinion offended you.

I drove the F430 and a GT3 in Las Vegas a couple days before the GT350 track attack, so the Ferrari and Porsche were fairly fresh in my mind when I drove the GT350 on the track. I don't really like how that particular Ferrari V8 engine sounds. I should say - it sounds fine, but I expected it to be heavenly. I guess my expectations were too high. I prefer the sound of the Voodoo engine, frankly. I wished I had driven a front engine V12 Ferrari instead. Even the weak V8 Ferrari engine definitely sounds much better than a GT3 flat 6, that's for sure.

But the GT3 had a lot more grip, no brake fade and was much more confidence inspiring on the track. I think it's possible that they had replaced the brakes in the Ferrari - I definitely experienced fade in the Ferrari's brakes, as well as plenty of under steer (over steer as well from the peaky V8).

One thing that was solidified in my mind during that experience was that I hate automatic transmissions. I don't care if it's a DCT, F1 something or another or what - I by far prefer to stir my own gears and use a clutch pedal.

No offense taken. I own a GT350 and a Scud. The Scud is special in so many ways that true car guys will own it over the newer 458 and 488 (I have been offered a 458 by my dealer in an equal trade and wouldn't do it for anything). Kind of how the GT350 is such a special Ford, same could be said about the Scud in the Ferrari lineup. Aluminum floors, full Carbon Fiber interior, and titanium suspension components, etc. Also, the F430 is not even close to the 430 Scud (There is no "F" in front of the 430 Scud designation). So not sure which one you drove. I know they rent both in Las Vegas.

But I do know this, I rented the Scud at the Disney track experience and did 10 laps with it, and it was definitely an abbreviated experience with the rental car- They had put standard brakes on it to save money (over the factory standard Carbon ceramic), and the rental company had a guy in the passenger seat was limiting the performance of the car with a joystick. You could not enjoy the full experience of the car, such as the brutally raw F1 Superfast shifts (the characteristics of the shifts are far more raw when at WOT than not). I would guess that your experience was like that also. I'd bet if I took you for a spirited drive in it, it would be a different experience than what you had.

That being said, I never thought I'd own another mustang.. but there is something very special about the GT350 and it gives me the same feeling that I'm driving something special, which is why I bought it. All I'm trying to say is, the Ferrari is a much, much different experience that is very special and is not as easily discounted to most.
