Yeah, that's a tough call. As PP0001 mentioned the base cars are rarer, but you also have to decide what you'll enjoy driving. Having a date or friend be able to enjoy the car with me as a passenger meant more to me than robbing them of AC and a stereo just to have the rarer car, which is why I passed on a couple base models during my search. But then again $69k is a steal. Good luck trying to sleep with that decision on ya...
Your exactly right especially when it comes to giving up AC as that is something that was not easy to do when living in the South but could possibly be workable up North.

When it comes to not having a radio, back up camera, floor mats, USB ports and all of the other numerous items that does not come with the Base model that did not both me one bit.

The major differences are tires/wheel combo and aero. If they are that important to you, get a R. Otherwise, a regular 350 is more streetable.

Mind showing a photo of the rear tires? How does it feel compared to the cup 2?

In my opinion, the Pilot Sport 4S is better than the Cup 2 for street use in every way. They make the car feel more stable because there is less tramlining. They also seem to provide more grip at the lower tire temps you'll be at on the street. Not to mention the obvious advantages such as more mileage, less road noise, and far better performance in the wet. I wish they came in a 315 rear so they didn't poke out the fender as much. The R's wheel is wider than the fender, it's just the OEM 315 Cup 2 is stretched onto the wheel so it has an angle that provides more clearance under the fender.

Thank you for the photos. Think i’ll have to swap over to your setup. I went with Continentals but they feel washy. Maybe the sidewall is thinner.

Which Conti's do you have, cause that can make the difference. I've heard that comment before from folks that don't have the Sports. I have not had that experience with the Sports. And the thing I love about the Conti's are that they run much narrower than Michelin's. My 325/30 fits more like the Michelin 315. Just my personal opinion, but I left Michelin because of how fat they are and did not like the shape. 325 Conti fits the 11.5" wheel much better than a 325 Michelin.
