I chatted with them about 2 hours ago. they were making new batches and doing testing all week and they said all orders will be shipped tomorrow.
Kinda alarming considering on tuesday they told me it would ship Wednesday....now its friday? I'm thinking about just cancelling so we'll see what happens today.

I would not worry, mine took 3 weeks to be made, so since the demand is high they just were not ready for it.

I probably should have explained it better, my fault. It is e85 with 68% percent ethanol. It actually did make power, I should have posted my baseline dyno pull. Also to note it was the same dyno and the weather is almost the same. So you were probably right that it made 460 hp but compared to base run I made some power.

The Proflex will only max out stock timing which 93 octane will too. That’s awesome you made more power though, prob an effect of the E85 cooling the intake charge. Great results!

There was a rumor floating around that the GT350 computers are actually tuned up to 98 octane. Based on a thread some time ago where a guy dynoed 93 vs either 98 or 100 back to back and the car picked up like 20 rwhp just from the octane increase.

mine is arriving this monday. anyone else who ordered recently should have theirs this monday too. gonna do the install hopefully tuesday then go fill'er up with e85 for the first time. AFD has an app that shows locations nearby and current pricing. looks like my area pricing is around $2.80/gal. might do a YT video of it all too. we'll see.

Looks like there’s some data to back up your statement, found this on another board. 16 rwhp and 20 rwtq from 93 to 98 octane. You might pick up even more since E85 cools it a little. The 98 octane graph looks a little less smooth and makes peak at lower rpm but I would assume that’s just the car adjusting the timing to a point it’s never been before. Excited to see more data on the Proflex. If you guys have a tuner try data logging before and after and we’ll look at the timing and Lambda throughout the rpm.

yep race gas/torco will make power on a stock pcm because it can leverage the extra octane in the fuel.

That is why folks are making power with the AFD kits, many other vehicles you may not make much. Can't wait to try it myself but still waiting on a shipping notice.

Can you get me a config file to run for the logs? I'll grab my baseline now. I'm running a SCT canned tune with pmas intake (no tune version with the recalibrated maf)

I had the JLT on it but the idle was hunting and I didn't like the way the connections were so loose for the PCV fittings. The PMAS is threaded fittings instead of rubber grommets.

as i wait for my unit, i am curious if anyone has info about how weather and temps affect e85 and our cars. i recall hearing that temps below 50 degrees (F) can cause issues with e85. anyone using e85 (afd kit or some other e85 tune) in cold weather? how is it? any tips? anything to be concerned about using e85 year round?

my unit shipped, should get it by wednesday...

btw borrowed a friend's scan tool, idle fuel pressure was around 54psi, not sure if it goes up with load/RPM need to check that next, BUT at 54psi and a 42lb injector, it should support around 525whp, but i'm thinking that stockers are getting close to maxed out for e85.

If i get headers i may put the 47s in there.

based on this calculator, IF you are targeting 550 crank hp, and want to run E85 at 85% duty cycle or less, you need a 47lb injector minimum (but this is at 43.5psi). I think there is some truth to tuners who recommend getting larger injectors if you want to run E85. I wish i had confirmation officially what size injectors our cars have.

The more I look into this I don't think it's safe to run 100% E85 on stock injectors. I think I'm going to to limit it to around E50 until I upgrade the injector size. At 42lbs it is really on the borderline of the flow limits. You really shouldn't go over 85% duty cycle.

I wonder if that's a parameter I can log with the SCT, then we would know for sure.
