here's a quick video I did on installation thoughts. everything's done but I'm having trouble connecting to the app and checking out the E content, I've contacted them but no response yet. I don't want to put in e85 until I know the system is working right. more update later...

Edit: got the app to work (android). found a YT video that talks about going to the app itself and allowing "location - permissions". you dont get these directions anywhere in the actual kit box. there is a glitch though with the app: you can only use it with the power on but engine off. they are working on a fix but for now you cannot read your ethanol content while driving. anyway, the video below is mine and just some quick thoughts on the installation...

how's it run??
so far very good. however, i have not done 8250 rpms on it. filled it up with e85 today and just drove it easy, listening for any kind of noises, just making sure. but overall the car feels good and i'll put it to the test shortly. still need to decide how to organize all the wires in the engine bay. not a whole lot of options but zip tying it down. nice to fill up corn though. i think you'll like it.

hows the cold starts and idle? Are you on full E85?
app showed...

i went with 20% 91 octane left in tank. i filled up to fill with e85, so about 80% e85. that came to 65% ethanol content after driving around for 15 mins.

note: the app has a glitch right now and i dont know when they will have a fix. you cannot see e% while engine is running; you have to turn off the engine but power on.

havent tried cold start yet. here in so-cal we dont get freezing weather so it should be ok for me overall. use some more regular 91-93 octane gas when the weather gets really cold. but even in our weather today of 85 degrees, the starting was slightly more rough.

Best of luck with it. I grew up in professional drag race team, and I remember when we opened up Danny’s Thompsons land speed engine that was running ethanol and looking at all of the corrosion on all of the engine parts. I remember that and the horrible smell of the fuel. It was then that I learned of the downsides of ethanol and it’s not so talked about effects on metal parts, particularly aluminum.

^ The smell of E85 isn't bad at all. My car smells like a gin-and-tonic at startup. :)

We had a barrel of E85. I just remember everyone in the shop hated the smell.

I been using E85, but what I do is run it as 3 and 1. What this means is that for every 3 fill ups of e85, I fill it up once with 93. Rinse and repeat. That way, the system gets clean out. I have had no issues thus far.

You know, it doesn't smell too good when I do the testing on EtOH content, but it smells much better out the tailpipe. ;)

it doesn't get freezing where I live, but during the colder months I'll use 91 octane probably or greater mix of it.

Hey guys which way does the harness go on each bank? Does loom point back or towards the front of the car?

spread it out before you install it and straighten all the cords. the longest loom set with 4 injector plugs goes to the driver side then obviously the next loom set goes to the passenger side then you have another cord for the ground another cord for the fuel sensor and then the main Commander harness cord. if you spread it all out it should be pretty self-evident.

I mounted the main Commander brain unit on to the fuse box on the passenger side. that's the point where you want to lay things out.

yea I figgurd that part out but it doesn't say which side the loom bundle points, front or back. It's long enough for either and would have preferred it to go around the back on the firewall but that wasn't the case.

It started up and ran without any lights with the module unplugged. I'm just zip tying now, corn juice is happening tonight.
