Gen 2 swap, th 400 swap, looking for advice on Intake manifolds ( I know). Currently Gen 3 ported.
I race mostly 1.8th mile, no prep. Looking for all the marbles at 7-8k rpm and 20+lbs of boost. Is boss intake the way? Or stay ported gen 3? With a 1.3 60’ launching isn’t the issue, making max power up top is what I’m looking for.

He told me boost don’t care about intake manifold. ( my words not his). Not worth changing for Gen 3 to boss. This was a couple hours ago. I’ll stay with what I have .

Boost totally cares about the intake manifold. That is such an incorrect statement but you will be ok with the Gen 3 intake for what you're trying to do.

I think you are taking my simplified comment out of context. But to elaborate. in my current setup. it’s not worth giving up the bottom end of the gen 3 for the small top end gain of the Boss.

I’ll just add more boost….

Had you considered the Cobrajet at all or is the cost of switching over too much for the gain?

The Boss 302 is at least cheap enough where you could try it and if it didn't work better than the 2018 you could always easily re-sell it for what you paid for it.

I’ve got room to pulley down one more time, I’ll try that first and see if I can keep my 60’, and get a lil better up top. If it doesn’t I’ll try the boss. The cobra jet is phenominal for NA, I’ve never considered it with boost. I think I would follow your advice first with the boss.
