Good machinist needed

I live 49 miles south of chicago on the indiana border. I need a good reliable machinist to line bore my block. I want to put in studs and the instructions say its a good idea to do it.

I would call Livernois and see if they have a recommendation. They're in Michigan, I think. Not TOOOOO far away.

BES in southern Indiana is also an option

You need to line-hone.You only line bore when changing caps.Any reputable machine shop can do the job.Sometimes the studs make the bore slightly out of round.Most of the time it is not necessary.Have the shop check it with their dial bore gauge first.
