I just want the rain sensing wipers. Gonna be the most expensive option on the entire car.

I wouldn't blow the money on ACC. I read a good article on it and about it in city driving and basically since it keeps you at a good safe distance, another car will then move in front of you and then your ACC will sense it and then push you back even further, cycle repeats, etc. I think people are throwing their money away with ACC but that's just my2cents

RSW should be on all premiums but like the poster said above, have we all gotten lazy? We have rain sensing already...it's called your eyes. :D

That is what makes the USA great! I/we can pick whatever options we want on our cars.

Does NAV make us lazy instead of reading a map while driving or pulling over to figure our route?

It is called technology and will always be evolving. Nice to have these options to pick from.
Comparing a NAV/GPS/iPHONE NAV to reading a map is NOT a good analogy at all dude.

Come on.

You are talking about a dangerous situation while driving (reading a map while taking your eyes off the road or having to stop to read it) vs being lazy and flicking a switch for wipers on/off.

Not singling you out, but rain sensing wipers??? How lazy have we become as drivers?
The advantage of rain sensing wipers is that they automatically adjust speed based on rain intensity. If you've driven in rain where it quickly changes from a downpour to a sprinkle and back again, having the wipers automatically slow so they aren't rubbing on dry glass, is a real convenience.

Should be able to, with the wipers just turned "off".

Not sure on a ford but on a Mercedes it can. In fact you can have it on rain sensing mode (IIRC, 2 sensitivity levels) or you can have it on manual mode where you operate it like a normal wiper.

You would think so but I thought rain sensing meant "RAIN SENSING" lol. If they don't run unless the wipers are switched on it would be a nice feature but I just don't want them to turn on automatically.

Edit: ah well hopefully ford did something similar to that then.

On my audi the wiper settings are off, auto (rain sense mode), and manual speed adjustments so at any time I can override the auto system

Rain sensing setting is basically the first setting of the wiper stalk, which would normally be interval.

Another queston: Would Ford's ACC cause K band falsing on my radar detector like some of the other manufacturer's ACC systems? Same question applies to the BLIS system as well.

ACC I think is a great option but I wouldn't get it on a Mustang. A large sedan or SUV/Crossover? Yes. I doubt I'll be doing much highway cruising, that's what my wife's car is for.

all these things are neat features, but I have to wonder how many people shell out $1600 for them. Seems like crazy town to me. I guess someone said here a bunch of people were adding them....I wouldn't pay much at all for them. Nav as well, unfortunately I think they package NAv with other premium stuff, since they know no one wants or needs nav anymore with smartphones.

Ford's rain sensing system is a joke. It isnt a responsive enough or sometimes too responsive and all it causes is either too long of delays between each wipe or too fast and the horrible sound of wipers on the dry windshield.
