My 2023 M1 remains for sale. Although I must admit I am softening on this matter; I’m recovering from x3 bypass heart surgery on 4 Feb. In Nov 25, I was diagnosed with blood cancer. Just life, no big thing. More ironic than anything else, after 30 years as a police officer & two tours in AFG. A lifetime ago. I don’t need the money & love the car. I just wasn’t sure when I’ll be driving the car, but if nothing else goes south, maybe this summer. Getting knocked down gives a person a lot of time to think. About everything. The little things, the big things. What matters, what doesn’t. As far the M1, it is a source of those moments of just listening to your favourite music, windows down, and smiling as the engine winds up. Giving some thought on a tune for the transmission, as way of perhaps helping to strengthen it, increase its accuracy in shifting; didn’t know if just a tune would void the warranty. Or if the dealership would perform this task. Or who/where does ( Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ). I’ll never track or race the car. Cheers.

God Bless you and strengthen you, I pray in the name of Jesus. Thank you for your service on the GWOT.

There are plenty of tuners to try. Wengerd, Lund, Shoemaker, ect. Pick your poison.

A tune will void the warranty. That being said, the trans tune is absolutely worth it! I have a Wengerd tune and it makes normal mode actually useable.

I also wanted a tune mainly for the transmission and recently went with Wengerd. I'd say its worth it off of wengerd's knowledge and quick communication alone. The car drives a lot smoother

May God Bless you 4 Barrel. I know where you are coming from.

If warranty is concerning you; why don't you check into some of the after market warranties. You are getting close to the 3 year mark.

You are an inspiration sir. Im in Ontario as well. I can tell you from experience that Wenegard was the most helpful for me. I have the tuning software and just wanted a flare problem removed that was happening in sport and track mode. He took over my computer and made the change so I could load it and it wouldn't be locked.

Since then, Engineer Mike has spent alot of time answering my questions about tuning. Took me several months to figure it out and lots of trial and error but I have it shifter 80% better than the oem tune.

If you want to bypass the grief, Wenegard will fix you up but you are in for roughly $1000.00 by the time you buy the tuning interface and the actual tune.

PCMtech software will run you about 250.00 but its a DIY situation. HP tuners is the other. Its simpler to use but I find there are some parameters missing.
