And for the tunes Ive seen availbe for the Mach 1's ,no one is really posting before and after results.
Would defintely like to know what your getting as good tuning has gotten quite expensive over the past couple of years.Hate to spend close to a grand on something with minimal results.

Don't expect a whole lot out of the 93 tune. You'll certainly get your money's worth on flex and E85 but with a 93 octane tune and some catless headers you may get some decent gains opening the exhaust up.

Wengerd performance says about 470whp on E85 tune, that may actually be worth the investmet if you have quality E85 availble in your area

With headers and the GT350 manifold, this car probably puts down some serious power on E85.

We have alot of time and experience with the 10r80 from my 18GT and 21GT while developing tuning.

What exact issues are are you talking about?

There are a couple.
-In Normal mode the trans wants to shift into 9th or 10 gear going only 40mph.
-In Normal/S on shifter mode the downshifting is super aggressive when braking for no reason.
-When using Paddle shifters 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th sometimes hangs, acts really weird.
-When stomping on the gas on the highway at 60-70mph there is a 1-2 second delay before the car recognizes the need to Go.
There is more but these are the main things.
I'm not a drag racer, just like to drive the car spirited on the roads.
The A10 is like a chick, always in a different mood everyday! LOL

I don't really see these as "problems".

The long delay for downshifting seems only long because the way you count it (with any automatic, really). You slam the pedal and expect instant response? With manual you press clutch, change gear, release clutch, press gas, that also takes time and feels fast because you press the gas while already having shifted. Just touch the pedal a bit before overtaking to let it downshift and be instantly ready to launch.

9th or 10th in normal mode at 40 mph - I don't think I noticed that, maybe bit higher speed than that. In city driving at 36-40 mph it's still in 8th for me iirc. It's around 1200 rpm, it's fine for cruising, low consumption etc. Meanwhile in Sport+ it sticks to 6th and around 1900-2000 rpm.

Can't say for S mode since I haven't used it much, just D + Sport+, from quick try it looked like S behaves just like Sport+ only allows completely manual mode with paddle shifters. It shifts aggresively in Sport+ only in lower gears, when being spirited, not when I'm cruising in the city in 8th and slam the brakes.

Honestly the Normal and Sport+ look so balanced to me and for me that I wouldn't want a tune to touch shift points or anything. Sport+ is absolutely awesome to say the least, even for just cruising around, in the city, fast to respond, giving awesome sound to everyone turning their heads 😁 But I'm probably easy to please so ignore me 😁

Have definitely experienced these two issues:

  • In Normal mode the trans wants to shift into 9th or 10 gear going only 40mph. Would be great to just have the transmission select each gear sequentially in Normal mode rather then skip gears like it does.

  • In Normal/S on shifter mode the downshifting is super aggressive when braking for no reason. Yes, particularly on a steep decline if you touch the brakes the transmission down shifts to a gear far lower then needed.
I would also add, when using the paddles, if you have to come to a stop suddenly and don't have time to down shift back to 1st, just as the car stops, the transmission shudders slightly causing the car to lurch/jerk forward. If you have time to paddle shift back to second, then first at very low speed then its a smooth stop, this has to be a tuning issue.

Lund just announced tuning similar to Ecutek if anyone has heard of that before. No more reflashing. Your tunes are set on 1, 2, and 3k rpm and you switch to what you want and go. Not sure if this will be for 21's and up but I had this on a 2013 FR-S and it was great and simple to use.

I'll probably go with Wengerd Performance this time though. Lund guys are extremely cocky and only care about drag racing. You'll know what I'm talking about if you're in their customer FB group. Wengerd sounds more of my style. Tune and logs catered to my car and making sure it's running as good as it can. Not just "within specs".
Yeah the video I saw from lund it was called PCMTEC, its
a multi tune like you described and it seems similar to MOTEC but not sure what models or years it will be for.

I had this happen to me yesterday when coming to a quick stop using paddles. Car got confused and almost died, then the rpm’s started fluctuating up and down until I put in D .
Usually I downshift to 3rd then let it do the rest but it’s never smooth.
Does the tune fix any of this stuff?

It is for 2015 to 2022+ Mustang 5.0s and 2018-2020 f150s Initially. F150 3.5L and mustang 2.3 ecoboost support will be available soon after.

If you want some more information here is the same product for a different vehicle the Australian Ford Falcon. This product is based on this but with modifications to suit the US market and Lund's requirements, eg transbrake for 6r80/10r80 along with ignition cut and other fun stuff.

Should be available soon.

https://forum.pcmtec.com/topic/320-...via-the-cruise-control-system-launch-control/

Examples of custom logic that was done for the Australian market. Similar levels of innovation will come to the US vehicles based on customer demands.

https://forum.pcmtec.com/topic/997-howto-custom-operating-system-features/

Initially the product will be available via the legacy Lund nguage and also via a laptop with a generic J2534 cable (initial flash only).
